I've just had a notification from FB asking if I know a person, whom I've met previously. I don't think it's actually them sending it out, but FB generally sending them out to see if I know the person. Pretty scarey if you're trying to be discreet about your identity! |

I don't very often exchange numbers with people but when I have most of them have found me on Facebook and have added me because of the 'contacts' feature. I thought that was a bit creepy but it is a good way to check if the person is who they say they are. |

Also Facebook will look at your phone contacts, see if annoys those numbers match and then show them up as "suggestions".
You can actually type someones number into the search on there and if they've registered it via FB or the App then their profile comes up. |
