actually there are some very nice friendly people in the forum.
share a joke don't take things seriously(or yourself) n you,ll soon see most folk on here aint as cliquey as you think |

it happens to me all the time. I post something and its ignored but further down the page someone else says exactly the same thing and it gets loads of responses.
You have to realise that is the nature of things in forums and if it bothers you you will be unhappy here.
I have been on the forums for a long time and still consider myself to be on the fringes but I'm ok with that  |

We haven't really found them to be clicky there is plenty of differing opinions which we love to get involved in. Nothing wrong with a good old debate lol

I think a lot comes down to the attitude of the poster. Some get stuck in, others seem to think they deserve a fanfare and crave attention and acceptance |

but it does feel that sometimes people take offence for the sake of offence rather than something actually being there..... |

If you are on about the kiss fuck pass type threads they move so quickly (lord knows why) that half the time people are responding to the wrong people and posts get lost.
I often comment and get no replies or further comment. Don't take it personally. |

I just say what I want to say on the subject. If my post is not commented on, it is not a big deal. I consider I have contributed to the thread my way.

You might just be unlucky. Lots of people might give a thumbs up or 'Like' your posts but there's no facility for that really, so you won't know unless people quote your post in a reply. Don't take it personally. |

Try turning the sound down, most of the forum users are knocking on a bit and have joint problems but Personally I find the clicking adds to the ambience! |

Christ, I don't even open those threads. I have been posting for a few months and often don't receive any direct responses to my posts, it depends if you say something worth replying too. I must admit I sometimes kill threads with a post, I like to think it was because it was so erudite and spot on there was no more to add |

Having been on and off fab for over 3 years now , we can totally understand the ops frustration .
Over the years we have tried to become a part of the clique , and but for a few exceptions had no joy at all .
What we consider to be valid points are Iignored or treated with disdain . This often leads to certain amount of frustration ( or at least it used to ) and we served a fair few bans for pointing out obvious discrepancies ( as we saw it ) .
More recently we don't come on as often as we used to , and to be honest don't really care so much as to whether we ''belong'' . We say our piece and often leave it at that .
By not expecting any response to our thoughts it removes the angst as to whether we made a good point or not .
If we think it was worth commenting on a post that's all that matters now |

It can look like that at first.
Without visual clues and facial expressions it is so easy to mis-read posts and upset people, so often people stick to others they know, and who get their particular sense of humour.
If you persevere, eventually people will get to know you better and accept you. (Imagine walking up, as a total stranger, to a group of good friends in the pub and trying to join in their conversation.)
They're not a clique, they just don't know you yet.
I have had my fair share of threads that sank without trace, but you can't beat the warm feeling you get when some of the regulars post replies.
Keep at it, don't worry about it, and have fun.

Ps I have also learnt to use those smiley things to give a clue about my facial expression. Though I don't know which to use for my rare serious posts!
