hiya all,

I was wondering, apart from clubs and socials, how can I get more involved socially online? Trying to chat to women and couples is like pulling teeth to be honest. And, I think it would be nice to just chat to folk. I have looked at the chat rooms and it seems a bit cliquey or just about visuals. But what about the forums? Thoughts advice would be appreciated thank you

Hi, I have found it really hard work like you have, but by being myself and persevering I have chatted to some really nice people and got too know them. Posting in the forum has definatly helped though as it seems to be only a small part of the site using it. Just keep being yourself and people will take notice and may even get in touch first x

Thank you for the response fallout. I will try to participate more with the forums, but am I right to think chat is not actually chat as such? It seems to be more for folk who are already known to each other rather than newbies?

I don't use chat too much, i know people who like it but for me it just is too distracting and yes it can seem like you have walked in on a room full of people who already know each other well enough to be sharing in jokes.

Thanks jacqs, I can see how the socials would be great for networking and it is something I have been considering, but of the two are the forums better for getting your social expectations out there or the chat rooms?

fallout guy, I know just what you are saying about walking into a room of people who know each other in the chat rooms. It can be a little daunting for sure

Don't chat much, unless it's someone we are going to meet. Not here to make friends.

A fair point galactic, but I would like to make some friends on here and not necessarily from a meeting perspective either. We all have a shared interest, albeit lots of differing needs etc, but I think it would be great to network on here and develop some friends

i like both the forums and chatrooms and sometimes chat can be great when you are on cam and another is on cam as sometimes words dont cut it

but then again half the socials i go to are from the chatrooms

"fallout guy, I know just what you are saying about walking into a room of people who know each other in the chat rooms. It can be a little daunting for sure "

It only seems daunting the first time - cause you don't know anyone in there yet

I love the chat rooms, at first yes it took me a while to 'get noticed', but I just kept elbowing my way in, and after a couple of weeks people got to know me, and chat became fun in the local rooms, and a good way to hear about local club events or party invites.

The directing rooms... well don't even consider them if you are solely looking for 'chat'

If you post in the forum rthen you definitely get more people visiting your profile. Unless you are an arse and then people are just visiting you to block you ))

If all you want to do is chat go to swap scene. Its better for that and more geared towards it.

I'm a bit of a newbie to the chat rooms, and it is a bit daunting, especially when there's lots of people on there and the feed is going fast.

I do agree that perseverance is the key with the chat rooms. I find it easier to get talking to people on the forum, and a few have contacted me because of something I've posted that they've found interesting rather than just because they've watched me playing on cam.

They are both useful tools, but I use the forum more.

thanks boobs, well I must say I have really enjoyed all the interaction on the forum today, so far. It's great to read that so many folk want this online social element and I will be looking into the chat rooms in the near future. I can't get over the lovely response from everybody

Also, there are quite a few people I chat to that I'm probably not going to meet, or we've met at a social but aren't interested in playing together.

Nothing wrong with just having a chat

Exactly boobs, that's just what I'm talking about. Surely there is lots of opportunity to have online socials and I must say, since I have started this post it is very much the case. So many lovely people helping out and chatting to me, I am overawed with the positivity
