Ok so after having wood flooring in this house and our last house and sometimes playing in the front room with others and chucking a duvet down on the floor which ends up making you move across the floor or ends up hurting your knee's (getting old now lol) i have come up with the perfect solution ... While playing numbers and letters with the kids earlier today they have tese thin foam things from a local shop and after going across them everal times to get various letters my knee's didnt seem to be hurting as much as when im normally kneeling down for more adult reasons lol so if you dont want to be scooting across the floor give them a try they take 5 mins to put down and then just cover with a duvet cover ! and if anything does go through they are foam so wipe clean xxx Lois xxx |

"I thought a shag pile rug was the answer. Isn't that why they're called that?
Any little mishaps - stick it in the wash."
Not putting a rug on my lovely flooring the kids would wreck it lol xxx Lois xxx |

"If you think wood flooring is bad for the knees, try a fully tiled floor like we have in spain!
Had to buy a couple of rugs that go down covered by a duvet when we play there."
Have to invite me over for the week to try out the difference in wood flooring and tiles lol xxx Lois xxx |
