Just act like a tiger???
Was talking about this the other day and I have yet to believe that a leopard can change its spots...I myself had once fallen for a guy who said I was the one but it was all patter. Luckily that's now in the past but do you think people can?

"do I get that right?
but you are not seriously looking for a partner here, do you?"
If you want a partner to swing with where else do you look? In my experience most guys in the vanilla world or normal dating sites can't handle this lifestyle. |

Yeah i do think people can change, but you have to change what you allow them to get away with or change your approach with them.
I have a limit on my trust, yeah i will take someone on face value until they prove to me otherwise, but i don't take everything they say to heart either because i know feelings change or people lie to get what they want. Sad thing is on a site like this i think you should be open, be honest, otherwise someone is going to be left upset at some point. |

"My experiences it doesn't matter if it's on here or a dating site or wherever... As long as they can get away with it, they won't change. That goes for both sexes "

Yeah just that last line was about fab, i think all of that could apply to fab as well though.
I'm in the situation now of my ex wanting to get back with me, we split because of trust issues and i do think once someone destroys your trust it is really, really hard to earn that back.
My ex before him we split also because of trust issues, then got back together, and it just didn't work. I don't think it's vital to be faithful in a relationship, but honesty it is a big deal if you want to retain that level of intimacy and trust you spend so much time building up over the years. |

I completely agree with you. I did find for myself that I was way too open and honest and possibly slightly nieve at the time so that was probably like a red rag to a bull for someone who wanted his cake and to eat it! X I am hardening up now x |

I'm still open and honest, but yeah i do also realise some people will use that against you or to gain something that's to their advantage and are drawn to people who are open.
Gotta learn their tricks and don't take anything they say at face value. |

"Fundamentally, people's characters are pretty much set in childhood.
We may learn things as we progress in life which help us develop but, in essence, we stay the same. "
I agree with this. I think it's possible to change yourself with a lot of discipline and dedication, but extremely difficult and only when you really want to, not because of, or for someone else. Ergo, no one can make* anyone change.
Re dating on fab, I think the concept is great, where else to find like minded people, but in reality it's not great as most are here with their emotions on a back burner or want casual encounters for a reason... |

Id like to change my spots but im quite nervous to try it. I find who I think is the right guy to help me, then they seem to withdraw into their own particular jungle and hide away.
Think im doomed to stay this way |
