We have been talking to a so called cpl for a few weeks thru here, seemed genuine enough swapped pics etc,we arranged to meet only to get a txt from "them" to say the wife has had to go away with work but he will still meet us in the pub and have fun on his own.Has anybody had the same experience and is it common.Needless to say we declined his kind offer. Her.

Sounds pretty par for the course to me. We're they verified as a couple?

Menston near Ilkley

This quite often happens, they are a genuine couple and are verified as such, then for whatever reason she stops playing and is no longer on the scene.

The guy keeps the profile running.

Report the profile to admin and let them deal with things.

Swapping pics and messaging on here proves nothing.

Only a phone call or pre-meet social will confirm there are two people in that 'couple'.

Unless you can be 100% sure they're real (multiple up to date veri's from other multiple veri'd and active couples) never put plans in place that will cost you time or money.

It's not too hard to do decent checks. Nothing is guaranteed as cancellations happen - but it's your responsibility to be happy before committing to anything.

Better luck next time!

A

Even as a single guy this happens. I have had couples who insist you meet the guy before any contact or proof that the lady even exists will be given, for their security of course.

I always walk away. My meet rules are chat online, chat on phone or preferably webcam. Then agree to meet. Anyone who is reluctant to do the same is most probably not going to meet.

Golden rule, set your meet up rules and process and stick to it.

Eddie

If you do an advanced search from the browse button for couples, its amazing how many wives work away or "are having a break" so he can play alone.

We,ve were caught out a couple of times when we began and walked away but asking for fem to fem hello on phone before even beginning to make arrangements seems to keep the singles masquerading as couples at bay.

I've reported a few single gay lads acting as a couple. Desperate much. There is a whole other site dedicated to gays...

Yes that's why a couple profile should have both male and female pics, not just women pics lol.

I too have had this numerous times, dont understand the logic in their thinking. Report profiles or confront them via a strongly worded message an normally find "User no longer on site"

Bet nobody has ever had "sorry my imaginary male partner cannot make it tonight so it will just be me, female, is that ok?"

"Bet nobody has ever had "sorry my imaginary male partner cannot make it tonight so it will just be me, female, is that ok?" "

Actually....yes I have!

But the "imaginary" make partner was real as we had spoken on the phone. And at a future meet they both turned up!

Must be as rare as rocking horse shit tho!

Speaking as the person who, out of the two of us, is on here the most. (it's stated quite clearly in our profile).

A simple phone call or Skype call or even webcam in the chat rooms does at least confirm who and who is not a 'real' couple.

If none of these things are possible then quite simply don't meet them.

Why oh why would anyone want and imaginary wife, real ones are demanding Enough

Chatted to a couple, arranged to meet for a social and play if all went well. He text me to say she wouldn't be there for the social, but that we could go and surprise her!! Pmsl.

Canterbury

I went to a meet at a pub with a friend. When it was clear that the other 'couple' was a single guy, I whispered to her that she should go and return in an hour......I took him for 3 pints and when she picked me up, we left him standing there, telling him that when 'she' gets in touch, we should meet up.

He looked gutted as it was clear that he had travelled some distance.
