2015 is to be my road trip year so I'll be travelling a fair distance to meet people. It'll mainly be in clubs though. Would hate to travel 200 miles for a no show! |

I've done a four hour train journey before now. It was a second meet though. I wouldn't travel that distance for the first meet. Living where I do I'd have to travel over an hour anyway, unless they come to me of course |

About an hours drive seems reasonable for a meet.
We do arrange club meets too though and most are a fair way further.
So far, all travel has been worth it |

For socials and gatherings I have been all over. For a one on one or one on two , even socially, have travelled to London, Liverpool and have a trip planned to Scotland next/this year. However those trips tend to be weekends away, no point wasting a trip, and with people i know and trust. |

If I am heading in to a town/city anyway, then no limit to travel. For first meet, anything up to an hour / 50 miles. Second/subsequent meets where I'm sure of meeting up - whatever distance/time |

Furthest for me was Burton on Trent. Twice for different people.
First was a 24 yr old Nurse I had previously met in an hotel in Brum. Took food with me, cooked her a top notch meal (Sea Bass as main course) and stayed over night. Sadly she no longer on site....met a guy n went 'nilla.
Second was to my good friends boxchaser for a party. They had been to a few of mine, and have been to one since (well Bobbie has).
So worth the travel for people you know n are genuine....about hour and half? |

And I would walk 500 miles....
Agree with those that say that distance is no object for the right person.
To be fair, no shows aren't restricted to long distance meets. Had a no show less than 5 miles away.
There are a few people on here quite a dustance away that I would love to meet. Hoping to meet a few this year |

About an hour, and we won't meet people who have to travel more than that to us for a first meet. It isn't no shows we're bothered about but more feeling obliged to play with someone we're not attracted to because of the time and distance...or someone feeling that about us |

Ten to twelve miles, not sure they would show or maybe no spark so unless met them before could be waste of time. |

We generally pick a place and make a weekend out of it, if we get a social or play meet its a bonus, if not we go exploring sights etc, so in that case it could be 200 miles away, but as a general rule if it's a midweek meet, be it social or play we will travel 60/70 miles.

Was about to write something very similar apart from we always have a back up for a no show, usually a party to go to letting the host know we're a maybe, however, we've been fortunate not to have had to do that yet. We rarely meet in the week, just too busy and complicated but if we do it's 10 miles max as we'll need to get back, not a fan of the week meets tbh. |

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
Furthest I have travelled was an 800 mile round trip (but was combined with football)
Regularly travel 300 mile round trip to see someone special (not from fab)
Had a fabber travel 400 mile round trip to see me - and we met numerous times.
Now, I tend to look locally unless its someone really special that we click with and have a good online friendship. |

Surely it all depends on how you know eachother - for a one off I wouldn't be travelling far due to previous let downs
Having said that I have find memories of driving regularly to Newcastle for fantastic overnighters |

"I love to drive, so distance isn't really an issue, apart from the time it takes when working the following day"
I too love driving.
Although not the little shopping trolley i'm currently lumbered with until I can get the beast back on the road.
(The rear axle went bang just before Christmas) |

Heading to Coventry from Dublin this weekend. Managed to arrange the trip to coincide with the rugby but to be honest it's the guy I'm more eager about. When the chemistry feels right then its worth the travel (hopefully) |

I wouldn't rule out a good distance to travel, I don't meet often so I regard it as a mini adventure or break either way. Parties and such I'll travel however far, for the right ones. |

the longest I've traveled is a 160 mile round trip to a club.
Most of the clubs I've been to are around an hour's drive or so. I don't think I would put in more that a two hour drive for a one off meet unless I had met the person/couple before. |

"Not very far, I just lure them here to me instead "
Ain't that the truth. Haha
I've always said that if the person is worth travelling for, distance should be no barrier |

Furthest we have travelled is 40 miles but wouldn't go that far for a first meet, 3 clubs within 15 miles of us so don't have to travel too far, maybe we should broaden our horizons x |
