Hi,
Does anyone have any advice for a beginner?
I'm intrigued but not really sure how it all works, though I have held the odd thing and felt the shock/vibes.
I've been recommended to get the ElectraStim Flick multi pack.

Have a look at the SmartStim forum it is by far the best estim resource I have found on the web. It covers everything from the cheapest of homemade devices and electrodes through TENS machines to mid range made for sex systems and the high end high price complex models. |

How it works is a bit like making frogs legs twitch with a high voltage shock. In general, it is recommended that eStim is not used above the waist and there shouldn't be heart problems that the stimming might upset.
Well things are a lot more sophisticated than that of course but the voltage CHANGE at an adequate level will make muscles contract. Most devices use high frequency stimulation which generally can be varied in frequency and amplitude (peak voltage). The effect can range from wonderfully pleasant massage to excruciating pain. As everybody's 'conductivity' varies, it is important that the eStimmed subject gives feedback. I once was bound by the C & B's so I couldn't move and had electrodes applied. At first, I was given mild and pleasant stimming but a wicked Mistress then pressed the 'fire' button on the machine and the shock caused my body to spasm nearly wrenching my balls off.
As for eStim models, it is possible to start with an inexpensive TENS unit to see if it is enjoyable. The eStim specialist units vary in sophistication, with features as multiple stim channels, varying waveforms and voltages, audio and computer control. Just as important is the electrodes to be used. I love bipolar butt-plugs which can produce a pleasent psuedo-fuck. For obvious reasons, I havn't tried vaginal electrodes. Cock electrodes can give a hands free orgasm. I havn't tried specialist bipolar tit electodes (and don't want to).
If you get one, make sure you have a spare set of batteries handy! |
