Would You tell a non-swinging friend that you swing?
I meeting an old pal for a few beers this week and we always end up talking about our antics. I've not seen him since we started swinging and not sure if I should keep quiet!
Any advice from the fab forum folk? |

Nope. This is my secret life and that's the way I want it to stay. I don't talk about my sex life so why should I tell them who, why, when or how just because I'm on here. |

A few of our non swinging friends know what we get up, intrigued would be a good way to sum up their reaction. Trust is important, we wouldn't of let on if we didn't think they could share the secret comfortably and we wouldn't be putting them in a awkward position.
There seems to be lots of misconceptions around what "swinging" involves and the stigma surrounding "keys in a bowl" parties from years gone by.

One or two know, but they certainly do not know the site name or anything like that, never mind details, however, I think the main difference is I am single, so probably not frowned upon for a single female  |

Most of my mates know and are very curious - not about my meets as such but about how clubs work so our catch ups are often riotous (and after Saturday night's Q&A, none of the girls will refer to the under-the-stairs cupboard as "the glory hole" any more  |

2 of my married friends know about me, and the wives love hearing about kestrels and meets I go on,
slightly different note, my boss was looking over my shoulder as I was reading messages, and won't stop going on about it, hes gagging to come with me, which is never going to happen! |

One of Rose's vanilla friends had recently broken up with her man and was complaining about her lack of sex, so we invited her to come to Chameleons with us. She was actually VERY shocked that we were swingers, so we wouldn't tell vanilla friends again. Having said that, her sons and my brother know, ant they've probably passed it on to their friends. |

So far, I haven't mentioned it to anyone at all. Would I? Yeah, perhaps - but only with a friend who is actually open-minded and I can trust.
And of course, only those whom if you told, wouldn't creep them out. There's a line some friends don't really want to cross. Just be sensible  |

Can't imagine why I would want to tell a vanilla friend.I sometimes wonder if those who are eager to tell are on a recruitment drive.
People are always keen to to gosip and in the end the last person I would want to know, would know. |

No I wouldn't tell a friend,I can't see any reason why I'd feel the need to
I have enough swinging friends to talk to about this side of my life if I want to have a chat about it |

A lot of my friends know and have in fact met a lot of my 'meets' (hate that word) so the line between my swinging life and standard friends is getting fairly blurred these days.
In answer to your question though, do what you feel comfortable with....there is no right or wrong answer particularly...you know yourself and your friends better than anyone here....sorry its probably not too much use but its what I have.... good luck whatever you decide is best |

My other half Bex told my best mates wife whilst d*unk last week.
I texted him to see if his wife had remembered as she was also inebriated
Oh yes he replied she remembers every detail, but your my best pal n you've always been off it so I won't judge you. Life goes on as normal in fact they have offered to have our kids if we wanna go out to play .  |

Only if there was a need to tell them I wouldn't tell them my bank card pin number either if there was no need to. |

I can't see the point of going out of my way to tell friends about my sex life unless it's with a view to including them in it somehow. Having said that, I don't really try to disguise my more relaxed views on sex from people so they're probably reading between the lines already  |

I tel my mum . And some of my friends know . I have actually seen some of them on here . I have introduced some friends to the site too . I'm pretty open about my sex life . But I don't go into every little detail |

Yep, mine think I'm a don for having the balls to do it and go to a swingers club and strip off all by myself. They want to but too nervous on it all and find it odd. |
