If you dont want people to see or know anything dont publish it on the net. Oh and dont waste server space putting silly disclaimers on your page its totally meaningless as when you put something on a web site your publishing it I.E. making it public. |

You see that disclaimer people use?
Replace it with "Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread Bread "
It's more effective.

I honestly dont know why people put the disclaimer on their profile as it isnt worth the space it takes up and most profils dont even have pics that show their face anyway so who would know its them if they were used anyway. |

When I read those disclaimers I always think "you and whose army?"
Like you're seriously going to take someone in Australia to court for pinching your photos. |

Firstly Fabswingers.com should have its own copyright to protect what is put on its website.
Anyone saying that because you put something onthe net it them becomes public are talking absolute rubbish.
I think it would be interesting to see admins input on this topic as surely they must have there copyright and terms upto date to help protect the privacy of there members. |

Unfortunately a company can't protect the things a user puts on the internet, via it's website, although it can be held responsible for illegal content (yeah, not fair eh?).
In other words, they should monitor it, but can't protect it. |

Stealing or copying others pics is covered in our site terms.
But, no amount of legal twaddle will stop idiots from download pictures and posting them elsewhere on the web.
If we become aware of people doing this we suspend their account.
We recommend people bear in mind how the internet works when posting pics. i.e. once it's out there it's impossible to get back. The best advice is to keep face pics private/friends-only if you have concerns.

I can't see how any site can totaly protect it's members details - pics etc - so really whatever you have put up there is in the public domain - whether you like it or not! |

In all honesty, why bother posting a disclaimer, it means diddly .......
As others including ADMIN have rightly pointed out, only share on here what your comfortable in sharing.
You'll always get picture collectors, fake profiles, the world and their Mother would never be able to filter those type.
I've choosen simply not to post a disclaimer because most people don't read profiles instead just scroll down to the pictures!

Seems it's the done thing to add it to the profile as if it's some sort of legal disclaimer (hmm not a lawyer but have I got that correct) On another site my profile states quite openly that I'd be flattered if they used my pics and profile after all that's why it's on the site to draw attention to it. |

Yes you're quite right no one does, as the slightly altered one I had there was not one comment, but I'll bet if I put it on here someone would notice!! |

"i think it fills the space rather nicely on the profile, after you put yout name, sex and preferences a disclaimer fills up the space quite nicely i find. "
Hahaha, yes I think that's very true, it's generally the 'lightest' profiles that have these irrelevant two paragraphs inserted |
