Does it send you over the top emotional, want to kill someone, in tears?
Think I have seriously experience my first real hot flush as in sweating for no reason.
and wanted to kill my son for the past few days, everything he does is wrong.
Any advise? |

Hi..
I was all of the above, confused, cant think straight, forgetting things, argue about anything and cry at everything...
I convinced myself I was goin through the change..
Went to docs they did some test's, water and bloods, checked my hormoine levels, (also told me average age for the menopause is 52),went back a week later and told me I'm fine, no where near the change, i could have sat and cried
Still no further forward...
Go to docs and get ya self checked out..
Good Luck |

One month I'll have a blood test I'm perimenopausal, two months later I'm not: this has been going on for seven years.
I've had the hot flushes, going off sex, mood swings, awful periods, forgetfulness, doing daft things ie eating a yoghurt, putting the spoon in the bin and the carton in the dish washer!
The worst thing is the weeping!
I flicked over to a match during the world cup. I don't know which to countries were playing, but the losing side looked so sad I burst into tears for them!
I HATE football!!
I'm wishing my life away wanting this to end, but I could have another three years as it can take 10 years! |

Oh dear you are suffering a bit arent you "hugs". Well to me that sounds more like what happened everytime my period was due
I had the hot flushes about 6 yrs ago then nothing, about 2-3 yrs ago my periods became irregular then went back to normal for about 6 months, then irregular, my last one was about September last year and nothing since then. No difference in moods, in fact they have improved as i no-longer get the weepy day and the "if it moves, i'll strangle it" days, horney has hell more now than before |

Well after having my little boy I had the contraceptive implant in my arm and things haven't been the same since, so maybe it's that what's making me been weird I don't know. Think I best go the doctors |

"Is it possible younger women can experience this??"
It is, I started at around 38 and boy can it make you a moody mare! But as others have said it can also make you very horny too ... I found help from Dr Mirriam Stoppards book ... full of good advice and for support and to hear how other ladies cope then I don' think you can beat the website menopause matters |
