I would like some help eting verified on this site. When I joined up I did so after being told about it from a couple I met at a place in Brighton.
After joining I asked them for verification since i'd met them in person but never got a response. And having been here a while I feel like it might be holding me back a little. Especially with the amount of people I see here who won't meet unverified fab members.
I'm hoping there is a kind lady or couple out there who can verify me over webcam. It should be a step in the right direction.
I'll be in the general chatroon for a while today or message me if yo'd like to help.
It would be much appreciated. |

To be honest, I've got the distinct impression that webcam verifications don't carry as much weight as 'Meet in person' ones.
There also used to be 'phone' veri's but they have been done away with.
The intended purpose of the verification system is to prove that you are, essentially, who you claim to be, but many people use them for different reasons. Obviously there is a huge difference between proving that you are someone sitting in front of a webcam compared to someone who will actually turn up for a meet.
I can understand your frustration, but you're still a relative newcommer, having only been here for 3 months.
It takes most single guys, on average, around 6 months to get their first meet (we just vastly outnumber women and couples) so the fact that you've had a meet already means that you're doing OK. It's a shame that the couple you met didn't give you a veri, but not everyone does.
My advice would be to keep doing what you're doing and trying to stay positive. Try and avoid any negative or whiney statuses.
It took me about 8 months to get my first meet, and even with veri's I still find it hard work to get meets, but i'd say that having a positive mental attitude certainly helps. |
