Is there a way to see if you're blocked?

Hi
I sent a tentative mail to someone a few days ago, you know the usual witty, dashingly charming and irresistibly alluring sort of thing you'd expect from someone who makes an effort.
Anyway, I see that it hasn't been read and the profile in question has been on numerous times.
The last thing I'm going to do is send another message as that's not my thing but...I am curious to figure out if the reason it is unread is because it's been deleted and unread, or if my message has been immediately dropped due to some kind of blocking feature which I don't know about.
It may of course be simply down to the fact that they're staring at it, waiting with bated breath for that right moment to click "read" and be blown away.... |

You'd know if it had been deleted because the title would have a line through it.
We often leave messages unread if we know we wont be able to answer fir a while also some couples will only read when both are present. |

Many will look at your profile then think about it and if they do not reply next time there online take is as no.
As a single guy you might expect to get maybe 5% of your messages replied to as married guy maybe 1% |

"Most people tend to read the profile first before deciding whether to read the message. "
Correct - we read the profile 1st and we can see straight away if some one has read our profile or not. |

It makes sense to check profiles before reading mail I guess...I might find out which works best when I start getting messages!
Cheers for the advice folks |

I would simply delete without reading.. It clearly says on my profile i do not like speaking to people with silhouette profile pictures... I like it to be personal to that individual and looking at the same silhouette that dozens of people have; isn't personal.. Others might be the same |

We look at what you can see of the message without opening it, and depending on what that says, depends on whether we open it or delete it |

Sometimes we leave messages unread if it's for the other person e.g. if someone is messaging me, Marty would leave it unread and vice versa. It can get confusing if we both read and reply to each other's mail.

"Try to look at the profile. If it says you can't then you've been blocked. "
And if someone wants to read they will forget looking to see if they have its their choice what they open or not. |

I always read the message first. If I like what I read, I go to the profile. |

Deuce I'm not questioning anyone's right to read or ignore my messages, I totally agree that they have that. My post was a question aimed at clarifying any ambiguity between a message simply unread, or my profile having been blocked x |
