What do my fellow fabbers think if for example we had an option when deleting a message to click a button and an automatic messege was sent back saying SORRY NOT INTERESTED or something along the lines of that ??? |

I find just typing sorry you not what I'm looking for does the trick. Well most of the time but then the block. If the person don't take the hint. Try it it works . |

If you could bulk-reply the same as you could bulk-delete, we would use it but people will still find a reason to moan either way.
"Why are people too ignorant/rude to send a personal reply?! Blah blah blah".
We don't have time to waste sending "No thank you" to every single message and we still don't see how an inbox full of rejections would do the ego any better than a no reply (which the FAQ's clearly state should be taken as a "No thank you").
People spend way too much energy focusing on their outbox. |

so in your logic of it been lazy not replying to every message, tell me why should I log on, spend 20/30 mins reading and replying to messages from people who, havent read profile/ dont match what we are looking for/ we dont fancy or just plain and simply dont want to meet, because they think they should always get a reply no matter what, or should I in fact pick out the ones I want to reply to and delete the rest, freeing up my time to do what I want with the site, like searching for people myself, or using the forums. |

I have a keyboard shortcut saying pretty much that...I do use it a lot.
I'd like a delete and block button in addition to just the normal delete button.....that would be more use then an automated "sorry not interested" button. |

I've never understood why some can't accept a no reply and delete of their message is a no thanks, not interested. They often message again and I believe they get a warning come up that they've messaged before and the person didn't reply. Crystal clear to me. |

I would like a "random excuse" button where some gentle '"let down" was picked for me....i.e.
She's washing her hair.
She looks NOTHING like her pictures.
Lucky escape mate, she's nuts!
She's on a mega dose of antibiotics.
There's a strong smell of fish....

You also have to try and keep track of who has fucked you off.
I have enough trouble with that, let alone having to keep tally of my unread mail compared to the swathe of 'Nob off baldy' auto replies I would receive.  |

I can't see what would be the point of a not interested button, just grow a pair and live with it. I've seen people before suggest that if you get no reply you should just block the person so you don't waste your time mailing them again. In the past I've had no reply but some months or even a year or so later contacted the person despite the warning that comes up. I've sometimes ended meeting up with them after the second mail, often more than once. People think different things at different times. |

I'm sorry to say but this is one of the most perpetuated fab myths
Not receiving a reply is absolutely not a reliable indicator that the intended recipient has objectively dismissed and rejected the sender
Many messages that are sent to ladies remain unregarded and deleted . My personal experience is about 30 percent
I suggest a thanks no thanks delete button it's clear and simple. Not for manners as I don't think that's relevant but it would help confirm one is undesirable as apposed to overlooked.
For those so fearful, you would receive a torrent of abuse, just block and forget then we know we're rejected |
