"I'm extremely new to this, an I get crazy nervous.
Does anyone have any tips on how to at least calm them down a tad?
Or even tips on how to stop thinkin too much lol "

Yeah I get nervous too, racing heart and generally a bit twitchy but it's all part of the experience, your body is getting into a heightened state of awareness, you'll certainly enjoy yourself if you get past it!

I'm always nervous when meeting new people & that's probably why I tend to meet the same people over again. That & because they eventually become good friends x |

Used to get really nervous standing up on stage and singing...it was so bad it made my voice wobble nervously. Over time I pushed myself out the door and did a load of open mic nights. Slowly the period of nervousness went from 10 mins to 5 mins to 1 min to 10 secs. It was the same level of nervousness each time...but I got over it quicker.
So maybe practice is all you need? I hereby give you a prescription to do naughty things more often |

A drink or two can help but beware......I think we have all met newbies who are so nervous they overdo the Dutch Courage and get out of their heads d*unk! Decide what you are nervous about....your body? Then choose low lighting! Your performance? Then avoid alcohol and remember how sexy you feel when fantasising about playing. Your relationship? Then only do this if it pleases you, not to please a partner. Being pushed into something unwelcome? Then establish a safe word or phrase that lets your partner know its time to stop. Nerves are fine and can add to the excitement if you control them so they become anticipation instead! |
