Hi
What steps can I take to ensure that any meets are not being secretly filmed? I'm slightly paranoid that when I meet someone they may have a secret camera videoing. I'd hate for recordings to get into the wrong hands etc.

Book the hotel yourself and sweep the room for bugs before you let anyone in!
And don't meet anyone that's ever tried to share their own secretly filmed videos with you....rookie mistake, guys. |

a sufficiently large coil of copper wire supplied by a small current from some capacitors and then the coil surrounded by explosives will cause a pretty significant emp effect capable of knocking out most electronic devices....of course the explosives required will level whatever building you happen to be in. but hey hot firefighters! |

You can buy a gadget from the spy shop in London that will detect any type of covert device and for more money one that will send a signal out that blocks them x |

You can get an app for your iPhone then when you are in the place you are worried about just say you need to send a text or look at an email when they are making you coffee it will pick it up

Which would be complete useless against every single camera and camera phone. Which store the data localy and dont transmit it via radio. Which is what those devices detect and block.

Sorry how does an app detect a camera? Seriously a bog standard video camera or even an iPhone neither transmit any data when recording video neither produce any measurable EM radiation beyond the amount they produce when normal in function.
No app can detect a camera. |

Only do meets in total darkness, as infra red night vision cameras will emit a signal that could be detected. Not all night vision technologies can be detected, such as thermal imaging, but you can hope that they won't be using expensive tech.
Also, be aware that mirrors may be used to pick up images indirectly, so look for anything suspicious - don't immediately go into play mode.
Drape clothes over mirrors, or move your partners to a different room.
The most important device you have is your gut instinct, alertness and ability to foil their plans. Ask them to clear a room if it is cluttered, so that you just have smooth surfaces et that are less likely to contain cameras. |

Booking hotel rooms myself is a good one and arriving first.

Have a look online for the current ones on the market that are hidden can that should give you a good idea of what to look for but for serious spy cams you wouldn't have a clue

Just remember that it's ultimately a criminal offence under voyeurism laws to film someone sexually without their permission. There aren't that many prepared to go on the Sex Offenders register, especially if they have children, so I'd bear in mind that the chances are pretty low, but if someone is filming please let us know as so we can all hop round |

This happened to me last night - saw a tablet hanging in the wardrobe with clothes draped over the screen but the camera was visible - was suspicious when she wanted room fully lit. Was in mid fuck when noticed - creepy as hell. At first she denied it then said it was her boyfriend watching - I left pretty sharpish |
