Did anyone else feel unwelcome and hard to make friends on here at first,feel like the new kid at school trying to chat,make friends,be accepted. Any advice,experiences would love to hear from people please |

This site is innindated with single males. Depends who you are trying to make friends with? Single females of decent quality get bombarded with messages so yours could easily be missed. My suggestion is post on the forums, don't give up and keep messaging. By the looks of it you're not doing that badly as I see you have had a few meets  x |

welcome, post away and join in. the forums change and it often in cycles.
on the whole it is a friendly place, it has it's moments but the posters change on a regular basis.

It depends how you mean about fitting in...some people will appeal to the masses, others less so, but you get out of this what you put in.
This site is just like a virtual club so there'll be some you'll want to chat to, others that you like to laugh at on the dance floor, others you'll want to take home and some that you'll wish you got away from before the lights came on |

Sometimes it's hard to get past the initial messages. We've sent lengthy messages to people only to get a one word response and then the same again and these are often from couples who have initiated contact. You would think that standard conversation etiquette, if you wanted to keep it flowing, would be to respond to question and then ask a question and so on...we give people two messages and if they just message back but don't keep the conversation flowing we move on....they aren't going to be much fun in real life if they are hard work in the virtual world...plenty more fish and all that.  |

No, I joined fab then forgot about it for about 6 months due to real life stuff, then came across my (exciting) username on my phone and joined in the forum after a few hours of lurking, reading posts and getting the feel of the place and the people therein. I've always been a confident writer so found it quite easy to leap in where angels may have feared to have trodden. |

not every one will be your cup of tea,
there are loads of peeps on here and im sure as we have you will find the right peeps that suit you it just takes a little time, enjoy your searching guys |
