Hi
There's a guy on here who want's me to meet him .He lives in Coventry and he expects me to drive over 20 miles away and he refuses to give me his mobile number and also refuses to chat on phone before meet.
I've told him time and time again no. Just wanted to know your thoughts on this .

i'm really funny about chatting on the phone for some reason (even worse cos i work in a call centre lol) but will give my number out no problem for texts.
i do speak on the phone but for some reason i get a nerous feeling when someone sugests a phone call initially - weird i know |

Definately no, a lot can happen between logging off fab and driving to your meet 20 miles away, you both have to be contactable in case of no-show whatever the reason.
And why wouldn't you want to have a short conversation on the mobile? very suspicious!

Why are you even asking? If he won't talk on the phone he has problems. I know there is a recognised phone phobia though so if he has that TELL him to drive 20 miles to YOU and just for a coffee. You should NEVER meet for sex if you haven't so much as spoken |

Fully agree with all the above that give a resounding "NO", play safe - if someone will not comply with something so simple as face picture or 'phone call then don't waste your time on them.... have fun  |

Out of curiousity, have you chatted via web cam etc, or is he just expecting you to meet blind with no other contact except asking to meet via email.
Some people dont like phone chats, but still give out numbers to confirm or in case something crops up.
Just go with you're intuition. |

i dont chat on phone but do chat in the chat room and ask to see face on cam or msn if they dont expect me to play there. otherwise it a big no if cant come on in room or chat without whispering in room |

Exactly the same as us, we get people aasking to speak on the phone after two messages and we find this a little off putting. we do not mind chatting if we got a meeting arranged put to chat after one or two mails and no meet arranged. everyone to there own i guess.

i personally wouldnt meet anyone I have not spoken to on the telephone, cos for all i know it cud be another fem unless you speak on the fone or seen them on cam how do you know  |

I dont like the idea of arranging a meet and then hanging around looking like billy not mates. I always think you can tell a lot by the tone of voice, the words they use, whether they laugh easily etc. My biggest fear has always been arriving at a hotel only to find more than the person I expected in the room ie several guys who are rough physically. I am a 1 on 1 girl. |

A def "NO", for your own safety you need to inform someone else where you going to and who you meeting...and if this guy doesn't want to give a number then your own safety isnt there at all...sounds like some that enjoy asking people for meets and never turn up...get a kick out of that..sad! |

have a different view on this. P is very shy when it comes to talking on the phone, but shes got no probs going on cam, meeting up, she holds constant ann summers parties for girls on fab and she has no issues when it comes to the sexy time. Just more of a texter really.
if he goes on cam etc, then id mabye say hes just really shit over the phone like my girl x

I wont talk on the phone, i just dont like it, even with friends i will txt them or go and see them b4 i would pick up the fone. So im happy enough to give out ma moby number if im going to meet some1, and will do a 2 min call, just to confirm im a female, but would rather txt, so most of my meets havent involved a call.

I don't meet unless I've spoken to them. For me it give us "both" the chance to see how we will get on before meeting up for the first time.
Personally if I can talk to someone easily on the phone then I'm pretty sure we'll get on if we meet, even if there isn't the "spark" there - so I'll have a nice time meeting up anyway

i never chat on the phone, i just dont like phones, yet have met lots of people so yes i would meet without talking on the phone and so do other people lol
however i am happy to use my web cam to verify i am female, its not because i have something to hide.....ie a cock lol i just dont like phones |

i think thats a little OTT, if shes going to his house in cov hes giving her his address so if he does 'kick the crap out of her' theres more chance of catching him with an addrsss that a mobile number, anyone can sling a sim card and get a new one you cant sling your address in 5 mins lol |
