Been on here for a while and met some fantastic people.
But my question is why do a majority of women have a issue how tall a man is?
Would anyone enlighten me please? |

It is just one of many preferences that everyone is entitled to.
Neither of us loses any sleep over it. Besides, if JN stands on my shoulders, we are average height |

"Because its a preference...chase the ladys that you appeal to. Have it myself but i just view it as there loss "
Nothing wrong with protecting your ego .
I am not attracted to short guys, and I want to be attracted to whom I have intimate moments with. Simples! |

It gives me a complex if I'm taller than a man. I really dislike it. Being 5ft9, I have to wear flat shoes if I go out because I don't want to draw attention to my height. As a rule, I go for 5ft10 as a minimum, but the taller the better |

"Because I'd be nearly a foot taller than you. Not a problem in the sack I'm sure, but I think I'd be afraid of breaking you."
Breaking me? what do you mean? (slightly confused) |

Absolutely nothing wrong with being shorter.
I am a woman who is 5'8 and I have no interest in being with a man or woman who is a good few inches shorter than myself. (And I also like to wear heels) Makes me feel like a giant! Feeling like a giant makes me feel unattractive. |

same as you having a preference for people between the age of 20 and 56...
so the answer is
1) because they can.....
2) none of your business...... |

I love a taller woman , I have had fun with a few and just adore their long legs , especially in high heels , tallest for me has been 5ft 10 to my 5ft 7 we both enjoyed ourselves immensely. I love the towered over feeling with a woman in high heels , but hey that was just my preference at the time , saying that I like all heights in women ! |

So I like a guy to be 6' and over
I'd be afraid of breaking a 5' bloke "
When I wear mine (depending on the pair I chose) I'm 6'4" |

I wish I was just a couple inches taller myself but theres nothing that can be done so its a case of just being happy with what you have and who you are.
my ex of 15 years was 6ft and height difference never bothered either of us.
I know guys on the shorter side have a disadvantage though as tall girls prefer tall guys but so do a lot of short girls prefer tall guys as they want to feel safe.
just be happy with who you are and what you have to offer and the right person/persons will come into your life at some point |

Enlightening indeed - specially compared to discussions about fat people, people with disabilities etc.
I wouldn't believe most people's stated height anyway. |

I don't state it, but it is the first thing I look for on a profile . . Personal preference I'm afraid . .

It's a natural order thing, it's how the species has evolved to survive. Most women prefer a sexual partner/companion to be taller. It's hard wired into their brains.
There are many probable reasons for this, e.g. protection, good genetic makeup to pass on, able to hunt and be a good provider...
So just accept it.
Ironically, when men express preferences based on their gender specific hard wiring, they are often called shallow.

As said everyone has their preferences .The great thing is they are all different , so people out their for everyone .Im definetly not everyone's cup of tea in day to day life so why would that change because I'm on line ? Don't focus on who's excluding you ,enjoy getting to know all the rest !

Bernie Ecclestone never seemed to have problems attracting or being with tall women but maybe being a multi millionaire made him seem taller and I always remember the old Andy Capp joke, women (to capp) "go away I don't like short men" (capp stands on bar rail) "I mean short of money men" |

"But I should say I'm only a short arse so not many men shorter than me anyway "
Is 5'4" short for a woman?! With heels that will make you 5'8" you wouldn't look as a short ass walking with 6' guy. |

From experience some guys I've met have felt intimidated by my height especially when I wear heels.
They make a joke of it but it then makes me feel very uncomfortable.
Therefore to avoid that I prefer meeting guys who are taller than me and therefore my height is rarely a topic of conversation. |

Women prefer men who have something tender about them – especially the legal kind. |

If that's true how come short people still exist? And ugly people - stupid people. Shouldn't we have evolved beyond all that by now?.. |

You've never studied genetics then - have a quick look on the web. There are recessive and dominant genes. Depending on the combinations thereof, you get physical diversity.
Also, alcohol has been helping short/fat/ugly people procreate for centuries :D |

We've had a few couples ask us for meets when they have a height preference on their profile.
I always reply by making them aware of my height just incase they didn't read it & I wouldn't want to disapoint.
One couple replied with... It's ok that preference is only on there for single men!!
I found this funny so does this mean my wife makes me taller |

Just repeating what everyone else has said, but it's very true, we are dictated by our primal minds to seek out the ideal mate to reproduce with.
Just as well, I may be short but I tend to be attracted to short, petite girls |

Because most men I've met have added at least 3" to their profile height (and knocked of a good few stones in weight too)
I like tall men and doggy with a short guy can be hard especially if you're a big lass like me |
