"Presumably your husband already knows you like black guys and the rest of the world would only see your tattoo if you walk around with your boob out, not sure that many would recognise the significance of the queen of spades. Tattoos are very much a matter of personal taste and choice, if you want one go for it - its your body after all!! " this. I had no idea what the queen of spades tattoo meant but if that's what you want, go for it. Very difficult for anyone else to say if it'll suit you really.

I only knew it's significance because I have a gay friend who is really into black guys and has one tattooed on his shoulder!!

| |||
"i do like the normal 1 the blk spade with the q in the middle something abt it that just seems so sexy " Yeah it does look good with a nice cleavage,but how big you gonna go,i like it small as looks nice x if you go to london alot people will know the meaning
| |||
| |||
"prob abt the size of my other tit tattoo,, maybe a tad bigger,, i wish i had had my other tat bigger tbh, we used to play with a blk guy regular when we used to live in essex, he was a lovely guy ,, he even wanted to take me on holiday to jamaca with him " Cant quite see what your other tit tatoo is,hope it dont clash with the style of queen of squades x
| |||

"But the essential meaning behind 'queen of spades' is derogatory to black men. You are calling them spades and claiming you are better then them. How does this portray your love for them? Each to their own, and I just hope you like the design, because if you ever grow out of lovong black men, you are screwed!" This

Each to their own, and I just hope you like the design, because if you ever grow out of lovong black men, you are screwed!" Or not screwed maybe if the black men take offence at the tattoo!! I had absolutely no idea what it meant and having read the whole thread I really can't understand why anyone would want such a tattoo. I'm so glad I chose a very boring but pretty Lily as my one and only tattoo!
"Im thinking about getting a large queen of spades tattoo on my right boob to show the world and my husband my love of black men... what does everybody think? would it suit me ? " that's a little racist tbh

"I find the juxtaposition of the notion of someone who likes black men, and their willingness to apply the term 'spade' to them whether explictly or implied very interesting to say the least. "

"I did wonder how this thread would end up,A party i went to last year which i enjoyed very much due to having so many blackmen,and still see and speak to some i met there,i didnt go back there for my own reasons There future partys they brought in the queen of spades as a award,also they developed there own queen of spades tatoo transfers.i never knew what it ment till somebody wrote a thread about it,yes it shocked me My point is i like blackmen,i know that this term affends some,whilst others still attend this party and the term does not affend them,some woman feel they want to wear the tatoo to show they like blackmen,they dont realize its history,some woman like me wouldnt like to be branded as someone put it or affend my friends I have not seen this tatoo on anyone at any partys ive attended," your defense (of others, not yourself) of not knowing how, or indeed why, the term 'spade' is derogatory, suggests ignorance in others. do people in this day and age REALLY not know which terms should, and possibly shouldnt, be off limits? where do we draw the line? is it ok to have a tattoo declaring ones interest in indians (the asian variety rather than the american brand) and use the P word? should spade be replaced by the N word, or is that a step too far? i have no problem with how people want to brand themselves, but its far from ok for others to use the terms

Altho several people, myself included, have said that the OP's body is her's so any tattoos should be her choice it does not mean that any of us condone her choice of tattoo or support what it represents. As the white half of an interracial couple I find any racist word regarding any nationality offensive. However, the OP has the right to make her own decision regardless of how inappropriate any of us may think it is. How many people, men in particular, have in the past had swastika tattoos, some in order to make a statement about what they believe but many I am sure without a full understanding of the horror the symbol actually represents.

"I think it quite inconceivable that someone would have a swastika tattoo without a very real realisation of its significance. And comparing it to having queen of spades tattoo seems difficult to comprehend as they are two completely seperare things. " Then we will have to agree to disagree, I can recall lads at my grammar school scratching swastikas on their arms with compasses and then inking them so the scar would heal with the coloured ink in it and I am quite sure they did not realise the significance at the time, like many teenagers they just thought they were "being cool". How many skinheads became skinheads during their youth because they were crowd followers and wanted to fit in without any real understanding of what they represented. Originally the swastika represented goodness but with the rise of the Nazi party it quickly became synonymous with hatred and violence. I see no real difference, my point was that to those who are offended by racism either symbol could be equally offensive.

Im not disputing they knew what it symbolised, I just don't think they gave much thought to the significance of it or of marking their bodies for life with such a symbol and what that implied about them.

"Surely the wording in her original post implies she knew what it meant? If I met a couple and the wife had that on show, that in itself would tell me all I needed to know. I didn't want to spend any time with them at all, the husband evidently had no pride in himself or his wife, and neither of them had any self-respect or class whatsoever." whilst I am a huge fan of tattooed women this would not be the type of tattoo to gain my admiration , that said I would in no way be proclaiming to know anything about them or there thinking based on it and I would definitely not be as arrogant as to suggest I knew anything about their self respect of respect for each other as a result of tattoo.

" I would. Arrogance it may be but I think what a person wants to stamp on themselves for the rest of their life says a lot about their values, character and attitudes. Self-respect you can gain insight into simply by putting yourself into the shoes of the husband for two minutes. A man who allows himself to be cuckolded is one thing (and begs serious questions about self-respect it itself) but to allow one's wife to advertise that is something totally different. Any woman in my life who did that would not be a wife for long. Ok, so I'm an arrogant sod. I also have pride in myself and self-respect. It's a win-win for me.

I don't see how allowing his wife to do something she wanted goes anyway to suggest what respect he has for her, if anything it shows that he in fact had enough respect for her to allow her to make her own decisions !! as for cuckolds lacking self respect I think there would be a lot of people who know this dynamic better that would take issue with that statement , does that also apply to sub men ?

"without wanting to hijack the thread I would be intrigued to know your reasoning for suggesting that cucklold and especially sub men lack self respect. ? and given that it is the age equality do sub women also lack self respect ? " You can throw that to the floor if you like. Me, I'm pretty much done here. We could toss this back and forth all night, still hold our own opinions and have conceded nothing. Quite frankly I've got better things to do with my night but on a final note.... "Sub" anyone in my mind has self-respect issues. You could argue about equality until the cows came home but let's face reality - any male who subscribes to the cuckold or sub lifestyle, lets his wife and her prick-of-the-moment belittle him and enjoy his emasculating experience.... yeah, that guy's got some work to do on upping his self-esteem. Done!

"then we can simply choose to avoid interacting with that person and move on. Each one of you here is a very special person in your own right. Let's celebrate that. Mike x" Hurrah! Avoidance is the key. Like I said, "If I met a couple and the wife had that on show, that in itself would tell me all I needed to know. I didn't want to spend any time with them at all" Well said Mike. Time for a drink now. Adios!

"As a full-time black person, I think I may be in a position to answer some of the concerns raised here. Firstly, Red, if you wish to have a tattoo, then have a tattoo. It's your body, and quite a lovely one too, you have your own mind and there appears to be no malice implied, so fill your boots. The Queen of Spades emblem refers to a particular lifestyle choice and, from what little I know of the scene, black guys get treated pretty well, so there should be nothing to complain about. A symbol is just a symbol, it's what it stands for that is important. Just look at the origin of the swastika and what it stood for before it was defiled by the nazis in the 1930's. The C18 logo employed by Combat 18 meant nothing to anyone, unless you were out on your own in Barking, and ethnic. We are all very quick to judge and determine what someone else finds offensive. If one isn't a fan of tattoos, cuckolds, shaven people, squirters, suduko fans or stamp collectors, then we can simply choose to avoid interacting with that person and move on. Each one of you here is a very special person in your own right. Let's celebrate that. Mike x" As a term time black person I don't agree with Mike one bit (Sorry could not resist that one) If someone does not mean to cause offence or means no harm it can still offend. I do agree with avoidance though and it is a tactic I use. The main issue for me is when people come at me from this angle they do not see why I am offended because A.N Other seem to be ok with it. So I am just putting it out there.

The wording was to show her love of blackmen,it wasnt written to affend,thats why i asked how she feels about it now after reading the thread,im not hear to judge anyone, and yes some men will be put of by the tattoo and some wont. I dont know if they are a cuckold couple but Do find that a harsh statement.

Despite both of us being black people, we actually have different views. This can make it very difficult to generalise and compartmentalise the sensitivity of a set group of people. One can spend a large amount of energy imposing your views on someone who is at odds with you, or you can leave them be and focus on what works for you. There are many profiles on here that state a preference for black partners and there are also a large number of profiles that will only entertain white partners. I choose to ignore those that do not want to meet black people (even though I think they're wrong and missing out because I'm awesome) and focus my energy and attention on those that do. What good would it do to contact a couple that weren't interested in me and wail at them for their terrible ( in my eyes) choice of criteria. People, we are swingers. We're outcasts, misfits and deviants in the eyes of mainstream society. It does no good for us to be fragmented and resentful of one another. If we can't conduct a civilised discourse without respecting the opposing views of others, then we're done for.

"http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HinduSwastika.svg The swastika has been used as a symbol of hate for years and it's true meaning is in the above link. A symbol or drawing or tattoo can be perceived in good and bad ways depending on who is looking at it and where from. The main thing you have to think about is how good/ bad the tattoo will look and then explaining the meaning to family/ kids when they get older. Can you imagine your kids asking why you have a tattoo that means you sleep with other people!!!!' Good luck explaining that one and them being ok with it. And then kids in school knowing the meaning and giving out he'll over it. Yes it may be a personal choice. But it does have implications for others around you. "

"i didnt meen to offend anybody ,,,, as i love blk guys ,, we are not a cuckold cpl either,, god i dont think ill have iut done now " If you would go for a temporary one that might be a good alternative. And if you go on a very popular auction site (don't think I can say the name or I would get told off, but guess you know which one I meen) and type in queen of spades tattoos a few come up straight away. You could put one on when you are playing and remove when done.

" All black men know what it means and love it !!" well, if you read the thread, there are a couple of black guys that have commented that have opposing views, so no, not all black men like it. further more, the wider black community probably wont find it too flattering either, but as you say, yours, and OPs own bodies, to do with as you please.
