Timed or not there always needs to be a way of ending the restraint instantly, even if that,means you keeping a knife or seatbelt/rope cutter near by and hacking away at your expensive gear.

This is a must.
Ice locks are a bit unpredictable as room temp affects it. They drip too!
Magnetic door holders are very strong and will hold you in one place for as long as they are on. A simple timeswitch can be used to control it. If there is a power cut you will be released. |
