Heya Tarties
Congrats with the new Lurve Waggon. We wish you many hours of fun out and about.
After 7 years with a motorhome we have found Britain particularly unwelcoming towards us "travellers" but there is still hope.
We use ours for meeting people who can't accommodate and have found that hiding in plain sight works best. In other words we go to the huge supermarkets and park in the far corner of their car parks, do a bit of shopping, have our fun and drive away again.
The other possibility is to check the area you want to go to on google earth, find a suitable lay-by or disused bit of road, or dead end in industrial estate. We have overnighted in places like that without problems.
There is of course Cannock Chase if you don't mind a queue at the door and muddy shoes on your carpet . . . lol
Have fun.

You could do worse than to hook up with us loons in south Wales in July!
The Hoedown 2014 is a weekend camping/swinging event (4-6th July), and the best bit is, as we have booked the whole campsite, and the site owner knows that we are swingers, you can pretty much be as nawty as you want lol!
Last years event saw 140 join us, this year we are hoping for more than 200... The list is already up to 185!
See welsh forums for more details, or mail me... Go on, you know you want too! |

We use ours nearly every weekend summer or winter, go to clubs in it and wild camp all the time. Only once stayed in a proper campsite and that was in France. We even have a swingers logo in the front and rear window!! Posh dogging we call it lol

We have a caravan amd love using it. Great way to meet other people. More people should used the swingers symbol to let other know they enjoy the lifestyle.
Let us know if you ever up north and we can park our van next to yours.

Morfa Dyffryn nude beach, on the west coast of Wales, was made an official nude beach in 2000 but it has been a clothes free beach by custom since the 1930s. The beach, between Barmouth and Harlech, is on Barmouth Bay, a section of the Cardigan Bay coast. It is popular with nude bathers from all over Britain.
great fun and great camping |

We have a plastic board with a sticker on, showing two pink female and two blue male signs entwined, and if that's not clear enough we have another sticker with the words "we swing" underneath! We got them on line, google 'swinger stickers' or similar.
We also fly the pirate flag (skull and bones) from a telescopic flagpole, for those in the know that means we swing.
We have had a VW van for two years, and use the same system as we did in a tent - two playing inside and the rest waiting outside, sunbathing, drinking, etc. It's a lot more comfortable than a tent, and also a lot more soundproof, but the rocking does give away what's happening. That's why we try not to park next to vicars, kids and old dears! |

youtopia is a camping/caravan site and swingers club. You will find it in the 'clubs' bit on this site.
In the meantime we are keen to have peeps visit us at our nearby naturist site.....western Lake District so it's a bit damp but you can't have it all |

Yes we just bought a 12 volt TV from Argos today so that's sorted.
Sorry we haven't been keeping up with the thread folks.
We spent our first night in the 'Sperm whale' last weekend outside a popular club in Darlaston and it was ok.
We are going to the Caravanning show next weekend to look for stuff to customise/modify.
Anyone got a 1Kw or more generator for sale? |

hope you didn't pay too much for it , most portables now up to 22 inch are 12 volt from most big name stores with dvd freeveiw for £120,
as for the generator its old hat ,12v solar panels with inverters are the way now and cheaper and quieter than a generator |

Congratulations, welcome to the camper-van set! There's plenty of good advice on the wildcamping website, but not about swinging! We agree Youtopia is a great place for swinger camping and have been several times with our van (and tent before then). Don't know what size your van is, but we can't actually manage a 4some in ours - it's always two playing inside while the other pair wait outside, sunbathing or whatever. |

we are so jealous of you all lol.
we would love one, but they are very many pennies and other things take priority.
there is a local place that hires campervans out for £50 a day, so we will be renting one for a few days over the summer.
really looking forward to it.
probably base at morfa lol |

we are going to barmouth in july love to meet you guys there ,
they are exspensive but you could buy an older one the do the job just as well, plus even the older ones hold their price so you could use it until you can afford a better one and then sell it probably for a similar price that you paid for it, they are a good investment if you look after them, also they might be old but most have done very low mileage |

We cannot find anyone that sells them though so we might have to have a few made

We have never had a problem parking at or very near clubs, Chams is good if you get there early enough to get in, Xstasia side street £2 all night, Cupids fine, Partners fine, Gatehouse fine, Yotopia camping on site, New paradise fine, Adventures a bit difficult but if early enough car park at side, Liberty fine, liasons on street in town not the best, Adam and Eves accross the road car park, la chambra a public car park accross the road, Vivente and Club F on street not the best, Issis on street but CCTV in the club. Townhouse wholesalers car park. Atlantis a bit difficult depending on size. Think those are the ones we have been to in the camper. Swingfields is the best though! a Great swinging and Camping weekend. |

"I would be very careful of free stopover sites in France. There have been alot of robberies from foreign tourists especially during summer season."
That is from "aires" on Motorways and major roads. We stop with other campervan users in local authority places. But, it is not just limited to France, it will happen anywhere that thugs see an opportunity. We also have gas alarms and we are very secure, bit of a giveaway climbing into a broken window lol |

We thought that! Before we started swinging, our kids always wanted the old pirate flag up above the caravan! Same though with all forms of recognition. Anyone can use anything, but there is no guarantee that people will know what it's for! We don't actively look while we are away, but if it happens.. |

it mainly depends on how big your van is and what you want to use the power for, some home appliances are just to big power wise to run off small solar power. |

the fridge is a big drain on batterys, i have 2x100 watt 12v panels putting 13 amps into my main batterys constantly in day light hours, then I run everything of batterys, including a 2000 watt inverter running elec kettle hairdryer and toaster,
big down fall with solar is you need good daylight for them to work properly |

We are going to convert the gas to Gaslow refillables. 2 x 6kg that we can fill up at an LPG station either here or in France (Europe) Quite a difference in fill charges. Calor now want £20.50 per fill and with LPG it is about £8.
Also looking at a solar panel of around 100watt, we don't use a TV and the fridge will run on gas so really only for lighting and tablet/phone charging. May put in a rear Hi-Fi of relatively low power, small area and we don't want to disturb any neighbours we may get.
The old bus is in at the moment having the brakes and clutch renewed. Everything else seems OK except for a small amount of a leak on a window, someone will look at that next week. But for 20 years old, she is lovely. |

"Are their any single lady's who go swinging in camper vans ?
i am a single lady looking into getting a
campervan x"
I/We use ours very regularly. I often drive out to meet guys on my own (or did, rather, as I have had a year off due to illness).
We have room for two 4somes at a time.

"New(er) van on it's way."
We are going to keep this old girl for about a year, if we still enjoy the trips we will either keep her a bit longer, depending on the costs! Or we will trade up to a newer van! I love it so far, but Innuendo is used to apartments and hotels, even the cost savings and more time away are having trouble convincing her at the moment. But I know she will love it once we have the new front seats fitted and the solar power all rigged up! |

I'm hoping to buy something like a VW T5 or similarly sized in the next year or two. I'm not sure I'm going to do a full camper conversion as I do want it primarily for my photography business so needs to be able to fit in a fair bit of kit but also for every day personal use would also make comfortable enough for road trips and hopefully a bit of fun too |

Well, we've got the new van. It's a Swift Sundance so we're calling it 'Butch'.
We spent the night outside Chams last week and it was great. It's lovely and nearly mint. We only now realise how we were roughing it in our old one.
Towbar and trailer to come and we can wizz off with the Vespa hopefully following lol |

"We have never had a problem parking at or very near clubs, Chams is good if you get there early enough to get in, Xstasia side street £2 all night, Cupids fine, Partners fine, Gatehouse fine, Yotopia camping on site, New paradise fine, Adventures a bit difficult but if early enough car park at side, Liberty fine, liasons on street in town not the best, Adam and Eves accross the road car park, la chambra a public car park accross the road, Vivente and Club F on street not the best, Issis on street but CCTV in the club. Townhouse wholesalers car park. Atlantis a bit difficult depending on size. Think those are the ones we have been to in the camper. Swingfields is the best though! a Great swinging and Camping weekend."
Wow Higgi, you have certainly done your home work. Thank you so much for the tips.
Look forwward to seeing you again at Swingfields.
Hugs
