Videos stolen, please help

Hi, Wondered if anybody could help me please, we are on another site similar to fab that allows vids. We had a couple of vids online but through this specific site only and for the same reason we're on fab, but I have had a message from a friend saying they had seen a video on a porn site!

We have since deleted our account on the other site and messaged any user found showing our vids asking to have it removed but it seems to be circulating... I've even seen a comment requesting a download link!!

Is there anything i can do to get a stop put to people sharing our vids or has this or anything similar happened to someone else?! Any help will be much appreciated xx

My vids have been reposted all over the net. There's not a lot you can do about it. You can message each site, but it's a bit like playing Whack-a-Mole by all accounts.

I'm afraid not.

If they are on porn sites you can request to have them removed (apparently, a friend told me) but anything you put online can't really be controlled.

Did it show faces?

There's not much you can do: what' on internet once is on internet forever (I know it doesn't help sorry!!)

The best thing you can do is to get in touch with the websites on which the videos are shown, explain the situation and say that it is broadcasted without

your consent...

After that, you can only hope someone didn't make a copy

What do you mean by 'secure site'? One where you store your files and have a password to get the files? Or one such as this where everyone with a profile can see your face pics?

My ex husband text me a few years ago to see he had seen a video of me on x hamster playing with myself and making myself squirt and gush.

The vids had all been removed yest, checked today and found another up but after checking again now it has been removed so fingers crossed it'll stay that way! Yes we should have considered that people may take them and yes it was dumb to put face pics up but it was when we first got into the scene so we hoped being amongst like minded individuals we'd be safer! No that's bullshit, unless there is something on your computer or like in the old limewire days were people set their whole drive as their sharing folder.

No one is sat at home trying to get access to your computer to look through your dirty pictures, there are much much more lucrative uses for there time

True they are more likely to be looking for bank details but the principal is the same, they want access to your computer. same with all tyhe port scans that show in your Firewall log.

No you cant do anything about it, all chat rooms can be recorded, so if you do use your cam on line, it is easy enough to record it, some vids will end up on pay to view sites, and someone else will be earning the pay per view fee,

Never publish anything to the net that is private, in fact never record anything that is private, at home, on line or any site, the internet is a free for all,

the warning the OP has on their profile is just using the sites bandwidth, unless you are a millionaire you couldn't enforce it, also you still have clear recognisable pics on your profile, so in conjunction with the vids issue you are taking a big risk.

contact the site and say your video's have been illegally placed on their site & could they remove them, if they refuse tell them you you give them 14 days & send them a "DMA" warning.

This means if they fail to act they can face being fined the Digital Media Authorities, we send these messages almost everyday to various tube sites & they always take heed & remove the material.

Once someone has copied it from the site then it gets tricky as you then need to chase the person/s copying your material, thankfully tube sites have their days numbered as they offer no protection to under aged people viewing them.

Tube sites will soon be getting government warnings & closure notices & about time to, hope you get it sorted ok.

Thankfully we are aware that there is zero privacy for anything posted on the internet and therefore our photos are quite discreet. Any face photos on our public profile are discreet enough that nobody who knows us would recognise us. Our private photos which show our faces clearly are non-pornographic.

We'd certainly never post videos of ourselves online or have fun on webcam as it invites the kind of trouble that the OP states. There was a documentary on tv a couple of years ago where an ex boyfriend posted videos of her online. No matter how much she tried to get the clips removed from websites they always reappeared. I tested the theory and found the videos of her in less than a minute. Poor girl.

As for that warning everybody posts to Sydney University et al... Waste of time and bandwidth. To pursue such legal action would cost thousands and take years.

Be discreet and sensible is the rule of thumb. If you don't want pictures or videos of yourself on the internet for all eternity don't post them in the first place. Simple.

For the time being you probably have but we have seen it before they go up on other sites and get circulated by file sharing. You can keep asking for them to be taken down but more will inevitably pop up.

As for people hacking your hard drive, technical possible but very unlikely if you take few simple steps. Like using upto date anti virus, a firewall, don't click on links you don't recognise & turn computer off when not using it.

Did you mean DMCA? There is no global authority that can fine sites. US based sites are governed by the DMCA (digital millennium copyright act) which says they must act on notification of a copyright infringement. If they don't act you'll face an expensive court case in the US.

Progs like Camtasia make it easy to copy web cam sessions, if you are in a job that would be affected by a film leak don't do cam/film/photos as they will be seen at some time.

A few years back I was on adultfriendfinder and in order to gain points to view files I needed to join their sister sites. As a newbi it was unknown to me by joining these sites unless you asked not to be put on Google search your whole profile and pics would be avaluable for everyone to see. I did however have all naked photos headless.

A year later some horrid person uploaded my photos and wrote a blog about me being an escort. 4 years later iv finally got them removed but after years of trying to resource the correct admin as the site displayed a non genuine admin details. In the end I contacted Google and yahoo, ask Jeeves and now I can't findthe page. But very concerning ESP as I'm in a long term relationship where my partner does not know.

Unfortunatley you are buggered, If you post a pic or a video on a site you are handing over the copyright, You may not realise and there will be some unimformed people who will argue thats not the case. But those people wont have read the terms and conditions of the site and ALL sites have that in their T&Cs. The brief answer is if u are worried about pics or Vids being copied ,, dont post em in the first place,, Oh and all this "Sydney Universtity bollocks people put at the end of their profile is about as much use as a handbrake in a canoe , talk about following like sheep lol

The way the internet works is the data is stored on a server and when you use a web browser it downloads all the content of the page you are looking at to your pc/phone and then renders is locally. So anyone viewing pictures or video on a PC for example has that content on their PC.

So everyone that is viewing your video automatically has a copy locally.

Copyright is not implied, so if not stated in the video the content can be shared, reposted. ... The internet was designed to share information, its what it does.

If the video is being shared it must be good, in which case apply for some porn roles you're already famous !!
