I was on the depo injection for 2 and a half years and then in june this year I switched to the rod.
Since being on the depo and then the rod, I've been getting headaches every day for the 3 last 3 years and been relying on painkillers.
I've been to see an oprthoptist and opticians and they have both said my eyes are perfectly healthy and I'm now convinced its the depo/rod.
Should I get the rod taken out? |

"Your doctor is the only person who can answer this question reliably and with full knowledge of the circumstances."
In the meantime ensure you're drinking two plus litres of fluid a day. |

I have had similar issues with hormone based contraception. Speak to your GP or family planning/GUM clinic that will discuss things with you and also help you find the best thing for you.
