If you don't have the skill to do it, pretty high as the tissues are delicate.

If you do bleed, seek medical advice.

I think it's sticking stuff down the, er, old chap, isn't it? (Was about to call it something that's horribly racist there. Urethra is the technical term I think)

Dunno, not something I've ever felt the need to do. Think it was mentioned in a story by Chuck Pahlaniuk (sp?) though. That's my excuse for knowing what it is

High risk if you don't understand the anatomy,I can't believe an adult would need to ask what to do if you bleed?

Of course it will bleed on occasion, if the guy is on blood pressure tabs or medication for heart condition, ie warfarin, it can be a problem, not an easy place to get a plaster!

Not many adults have experienced an internal bleed, so a very valid question, and a good place to ask it!

I'm not a doctor, but I'd say if blood starts coming out of anything (except your nose for a couple of minutes or your fanny for 5 days every 28), you FUCKING GET IT LOOKED AT ASAP, no?

I'm not saying he is bleeding. But he wants to do it with longer probes and im worried about him hurting himself. So asking what the risks are. And would it heal itself if bleeding was to happen. Was wondering if anyone had any experience of it. Wouldn't know where else to ask. Not realy something I can discuss with friends and family

I'd try asking on somewhere like Fetlife.com, probably a lot more experienced people on there.

"It is not sexy [...] its a gross practice"

Well that's not very helpful. A lot of people find swinging "gross", I'd have thought round here we were safe from judgement. If you can't say something nice...

It's just another form of physical stimulation. Some people like it. Just like other forms of physical stimulation, it won't appeal to or work for everyone.

Before increasing length, he needs to increase the gauge of the sounds he uses. When he increases length, this will make insertion easier but there is always a limit on length before you cause serious damage.

Check out fetlife and look for workshops-good workshops always include lectures on anatomy, safety and hygiene.

Basically sounds and dilators should never (ever) be pushed. The idea is more to use plenty of lube and let them slide in themselves. So, I could be wrong here, but it seems to me they find their own depth.

Sounds and dilators aren't something I have a vast amount of knowledge of but it may be possible to buy them designed for deeper insertion.

If you buy the right tools for the job, (and please ensure they are stainless steel, which a lot of cheap imports aren't, and are scrupulously sterile), and use them properly, you should be fine.

Using something not designed for sounding or trying to force it deeper is a recipe for very serious problems.

If you do accidentally cause bleeding seek medical treatment urgently. After all, the inside of the urethra isn't somewhere anyone wants an infection!
