Ask the hotel staff to join in .....
Or at least take some photos for you ......I hear there quite keen on that in some of the travelodge's |

To "combat" no shows here is a suggestion:
You book a hotel within your budget and have it near to a club of your choice. Explain to the couple you are arranging to meet with, that they can either meet you in the club or in the hotel for drinks.
If a no show happens, you haven't totally lost out and can salvage your evening in the club (and maybe bring someone back to your hotel to extend the night's fun).
If you do arrange to share hotel costs and it goes tits up, always negotiate a hotel that is within your budget range. It may even be better to arrange a social prior to the intended night of play, to reduce the pressure from all of you and give a get out clause. It is harder (so I'm told) to get four people to be mutually attractive, so why pay out for nothing (hence my safety-net plan above). |
