I have been here for some time now and I do think myself that manners go a long way.
say if your at a bus stop and a guy or girl said.
morning lovely day I bet you would reply back.
why would you because your face to face with the person.
so why is it that when yr internet to internet peoples manners go straight out the door.
maybe I am wrong and manners are not needed on a sex site.
So am I right or wrong please

its not just on sites like this, it is prevalent through out the internet.
When i looked for work years ago i got letters back saying no.
When i was looking a few years ago, via email mostly i get nothing at all, not even a thank you for applying. in this day and age setting up an email proforma is easy and just a couple of clicks sends a message.
it is rude, and makes you feel be-littled and unwanted.

The forum rules are quite clear about messages. Basically, no reply means no thank you. Some women get a lot of messages a day and struggle to respond. If you read a profile, you may see reference to no response to a message. I certainly have one. So it isn't being rude or unmannerly at all. Just one of those things. And in response to saying Good morning in the outside world, I work in a supermarket and say Morning, afternoon, hi regularly to customers and a great deal of them don't respond or just grunt at you. Now that's what I call rude. |

Every single man that ive ever replied to on this site in 5 yrs has wanted to meet......its the nature of site
If you think I have bad manners for not replying to a how are you message then I can live with that  |

Well kermit , it's like this .
Unsolicited messages , no matter hiw nicely written can sometimes overwhelm the in box .
Answering every message can take so much time and then theres no time for meets !
On quiet days we will answer every message even if it's no thanks .
If you are waiting for a bus it takes no time at all to say hi .... typing etc .... much longer !

manners on this site are apparently a one way stret whilst us poor single guys are expected to be perfect many many women wont even reply to messages that some of us have gone to the effort of writing a simple no ty would suffice shit u could even cut and paste it if its not too much effort ladies lol |

I agree it can be frustrating, but if you get to many messages block a men and message those yiu want, then you will see it from our perspective  |

I have good manners. I don't have to reply to unwanted messages because Fab says that it is NOT rude to ignore and because I can't be mithered with the but why brigade or the well your a fat ugly slag anyway. |

I totally agree, although people's true colours will show through, if your polite outside fab you tend to be polite in fan |

A simple no ty is all very well but how long before the single guy wsnts to know why he keeps being rejected ?

This IS the exact reason why many dont respond.. dont blame people for not having "manners" when those rejected become much ruder by being abusive.
If they are interested in you - they WILL respond.

I rarely reply to messages I'm not interested in. Mainly because its tedious saying no thanks to people who, had they read your profile in the first place, would of saved themselves the bother in messaging in the first place! |
