Hi everyone, hope your all well and enjoying your week.
So me and the wife have been thinking about going to a club to see what clubs are all about and to see if it's our cuppa tea or not.
Now as newbies to this I was wondering if there were any couples local to us who would give us their point of view and who we could possibly go to a club with for the evening.
Finally not sure we would want to play on our 1st visit or any visit as we are unsure of clubs and once again, is it our cuppa tea or not..
Any points of view would be welcome, thanks |

Have a look in the clubs section on here and find a few you like the look of from their websites. Phone them up and explain this is your first time. Thing you need to remember is .... EVERYONE had a first time ONCE. You are no different. You do NOT have to play on your first time - or ANY time in a club. Some people (not many lol!) go to clubs and never play; some don't even watch - it's just for the 'ambience' shall we say.
Any decent club owners/hosts/staff will do their best to put you at your ease and show you around. Some may introduce you to some of the regulars who may also help alleviate any nerves you may have.
One thing I would suggest, and this is a personal thing, we find it best to go to a new club on our own with no other couple or friend with us. Then we have no outside influence and we can decide whether the club in question is for us, and us alone. Bit pedantic on my/our part, but we find it works.
Hope you have fun whatever you decide to do.

actually was going to say exactly the same thing with regards to going on your own...
while you may think going with others is easier, I think what you kind of do is create a little bubble around yourself.... and it makes it harder to meet other people
we were all new once, we all remember what it is like and even as people who have been to clubs we get nervous
go.... open mind.... no expectations... |

"We've been looking at one in Salisbury, Donkey Dicks which is on here and JNC2, only because they are both localish.
Secrets looks good as well."
JCT2 has closed down I'm afraid. Donkey Dick's is more a 'private party' thing than an actual club I beleive. |

Not familiar with any of those unfortunately lol.
We would say though, do remember that the clubs are all very different and the popular ones are popular for a good reason.
We now much prefer the clubs, it makes things so much simpler and less long winded with much less chance of people letting us down. |

Would also add that Donkey dicks is a house party not a club and is a little more hardcore for someone new to swinging.
But for first timers we would recommend the other clubs |

"That's really sound advice you have had.
It's a bit of a trek for you guys but we love Vanilla Alternatives.
Which clubs have you been looking at on the web? (Purely being nosey) lol"
Agreed it is a bit of a trek, but VA is a great club, and VERY welcoming to newbies, and probably the most classiest in the UK (that we know of).
Also they have rooms above the club (a converted old country pub - quiet and secluded area), and the rooms are small but fairly decent standard.
But there are also a few budget hotels within 2-8 mins from the club, such as Travelodge, Holiday Inn, Prem Inn.

Once again many thanks for all your views & for the private messages.
We think we'll have to have another good look around at the clubs within 100 miles of where we live as we'll make a week end of it & perhaps we'll find somewhere to take the plunge.
Once again, many thanks to you all xxx |

"We are in the same boat as the OP and have been thinking about eureka. But not sure as not heard a lot about it."
I'd recommend a Eureka saturday party night as you could just treat it as a slightly cheesy disco with a few 'interesting' sights! |

We're another couple in the same boat. We're very interested in visiting a club to see if it's something we're BOTH ready for.
I have a feeling there are hundreds of couples in exactly the same boat.
What if we get there, just want to get to meet people and get to know what it's about, but become labelled as one of those time-wasting infuriating couples that are taking the p!ss?
Lol, we've gone around in circles on this one for a while, eventually we'll just shrug and go I think.

well you have a very good one up the road in club F and the staff will really take care of you!!!
it is so socialable and we all remember we were new once...
the one thing I would say to new people is make the effort to go up to people and talk (social smoking areas are great for that for example)...
we know you will be nervous, but sitting in a corner by yourselves isn't going to improves those nerves... |

Honestly clubs are no big deal you can do as much or as little as you like, in general they are very friendly places just do a little bit of research find a club that suits your taste and what your looking for and go with no expectations of anything and you should have a great time |

Hi everyone,
Well after having another good look around we feel that Secrets in Devon would probably suit us best.
Have emailed owners to make enquiries about 1st time visit.
Plus we can make a week end of it, lol.
We'll let you know if we manage to get there this month or in September.
Once again many thanks for all your advice.

We have a Masked Ball on Sat 24th @ The Lodge, Gloucester. A great first club as it is very friendly. We have new people attending every week as well as regulars. The club has a good social base and there is absolutely no pressure to play. x |

Clubs also come in 2 varieties wet and dry (with a few in-between), with wet clubs, you usually wear a towel, lingerie and shorts for gents and are based around a sauna/spa etc..While dry clubs are more based around a nightclub, with people more sexily dressed and usually loader music and a dancefloor...some prefer one more than the other..but it a choice thing. So if you don't like the first club you go to try a few more, it can take a while to find the club YOU like!
We have only recently started to go to clubs, with Xstasia being our fav..as we prefer dry clubs, one thing though, we are all nervous when we start going to clubs, but we are all there for the same reason, so get talking to people, you'll soon get to know people and it makes for great socializing as well as play. |

There is a Kent social at eurekas on the 21st sept!!
May be a good opportunity to have a look around a club without any pressure to play, and get to meet lots of lovely people |

Would recommend Vanilla Alternative and JayDees near Bedford, Xtasia near Birmingham and Kestrel Hydro/AdFabs near Heathrow. Have been to them all recently and are all ideal for first timers. Nice people running them and all have nice regular visitors as well as frequent newbies. Never any pressure and everyone is always very social. |

We did our first club visit a month ago, we only played with each other and found it more fascinating than erotica, saying that though we are going back this Saturday
Club we went to and are going back to is the vanilla alternative |

Afraid to say that although the clubs here try hard and we are sure there are some great ones we have found that the ones abroad are simply a different class to the ones in the u.k. Went to one a little while ago training pedrables in Barcelona and it knocks the socks off the ones we have been to here in the u.k. Well organised, clean, indoor swimming pool, lovely play areas and gardens. The ones we have been to in the u.k. Eurekas, chameleons, pleasures and ab fabs are about thirty years behind in terms of decor, cleanliness and above all atmosphere and a lot more expensive to boot. It is all a great deal more like carry on swinging!
