Decreased ability to orgasm
Jump to: Newest in thread
Mine used to be very intense and always a once only event as afterwards I couldn't even be touched. These days if it happens at all it's a disappointment...like waiting for fireworks and them just fizzling out at the moment they should be going BANG! |

"maybe you havnt been meeting the right men."
If only it was that simple. I'm not talking about orgasms with other people, I'm talking about on my own, and nobody knows how to do it for me better than I do. |

"yep deffo for me..thbo I am on alot of meds so just think its that! xx"
I do take Co-codamol for back pain and have wondered if that could be the problem, or even the spinal problems themselves.
I do suspect it might be hormonal though because I'm heading towards "that age" |

"oh no im fine on my own, just with others and ive recently started hrt xx"
It's never been easy for anyone else to make me orgasm (except for a couple of special cases) but I never used to have trouble getting myself sorted out. |

Oh I'd get that checked out! Too much vibe can desensitize I heard.. Good luck. L-Arginine is supposed to increase blood flow to certain areas |

Hi, Obviously check your medication, but I assume you are regularly doing your kegal exercises/pelvic floors. I have a kegal8 and although they are expensive, I really find my orgasms have got better. (I'm in my mid forties!!) |

"Mmmmmm well I'm just about to come off Cerazette - maybe I should hold onto my hat!!"
Cerazette caused me a long list of problems, the vanishing sex drive and no orgasms was the tipping point lol |

"I was wondering if any other women here have experienced a decreased ability to orgasm as they have gotten older (I'm assuming that's the cause). And if so how they have dealt with it.
"
going solo: sometimes I cum quickly, sometimes I get to "that edge" but don't go over (I've become desensitized), sometimes my orgasm is a pathetic oh, othertimes I need to hold onto my hat. What causes such variation? My menstrual cycle.
Perhaps take a mental note of when you play and the result |

I think this is A very good point
And I agree for me the time of the month makes a huge difference to my ability and qualify of my orgasms.
My best time is mid cycle, then I can also get horny just before my period where after it plumets until I finish.
On my own, I can usually get there in about 10 minutes and yes, I feel as I've got older certainly the urge has lessened and I do worry a bit what will happen once the menopause hits......not the sort of discussion I want to have with my mother..............

Unfortunately any drug that acts as a block for stimulation of nerves which is essential what pain actually is....will also work on the pleasure centre of the brain too in some way. Some people are more susceptible to this than others just like pain medication effects people slightly differently
I was on a raft of medication for migraines after suffering a minor stroke and complained about the side effects.....doctors basically told me to choose between blinding pain every day or the side effects of the drugs
Luckily recovered now so all back in working order lol |
