I know I can hide it publicly like that but what about removing from the profile completely? |

I don't this this is possible, unless the verifier leaves the site.
But if you don't want to read it, just hide it, and then never go to your 'manage verifications' page  |

Block them - then it disappears plus any you wrote them disappears of their profile.
You both keep the tick and it stays on your verification summary though as do verifications from those who have left the site.
