We understand that administering a site like this must be a nightmare and well don to all those that do,
But this site is becoming so despairingly frustrating so so so many fake people and also people who mail then when you say no they seem to be able to change their profile name so easy and think people are thick enough not to realise.
We are not really club goers and our time is precious as it is for most people on here but is it not time to start making things harder for the idiotic people on here. Those that make an account when they are horny and are damn right rude when they arent.. We loved fab as a site and its definately losing its appeal and becoming a little 'stale'
We know we are not the only people with this opinon as FABSWINGERS is being branded as a "timewasting waste of space" (not our words) around twitter and this is not good publicity at all please lets put our heads together and finding a way to putting the FAB back into FABSWINGERS

Been on here for 5 years now and been hearing the same complaints for that length of time too. When something is free or as cheap to be a part of as fab you have to expect that there will be abuses and either learn to accept the sites limitations or move on. It doesn't feel any worse now than it did 5 years ago to us. It's not perfect, it is what it is. Maybe there could be a site called FabPremier. You get invited to join when you have 5 verifications, 5 decent pics uploaded, you are photo verified by admin and you are willing to pay £20 or more a month to be amongst like minded folk? Just a suggestion. |

we have to agree. only thing I've seen since joining. A couple that we have seen name n shame said time wasters through their status updates. but the number of time wasters is growing faster than genuine members & something needs to be done by the administrators before the site is abandoned by most genuine people. I don't agree that putting the price up would deter these people |

I am a member of a pay site as well as this.......there is nothing to choose between them, same idiots different site!
As somebody suggested, do it by recommend only and based on fab rating and it will become an elitist site within a week. |

Isn't that what the non verified filter does? Think this site is as good as it gets really, if you use it with normal caution then you can filter out all the time wasters, filter unverified which is sad for new people but then they can use the clubs / socials to get verified so it's a barrier not a wall. |

£20!! You're off our chump if you think most people would pay that, no matter how genuine they are. And the forum ban thing is just arse. Do you have to have a letter from your mummy saying you're allowed to join too?
Use your filters and common sense and miraculously the timewasters disappear. As someone said earlier, you're after a free ride. But nothing is for free, you always pay somehow. Like facebook and Twitter you have to put up with adverts, here you have to put up with the occasional dickhead.
I think it's a great site, I used to be on a paysite and it was exactly the same. Here I can choose to contribute though For the same service. |

Great idea - but no disrespect - these are the kind of guidelines I look for when deciding who to meet now. So why not just use them as a rigid set of guidelines and 'preferences' when browsing profiles?
No need for a new site or a monthly fee - and the same end result!! |

That's a good idea we are newish but the fakes are a real pain . We are leaning to only meet verified profiles . maybe we should have a name and shame forum also if everyone chipped in surly we could get rid of some fakes also if anyone has not been verified by meeting in person should lose there profile after a certain time maybe a good idea. |

We also have been using this site for a while now. We have had loads of successful meets with no problems. I really can't understand the complaints. We have a few rules we always follow:
1. Only communicate with verified couples. Both photo and by others.
2. Do not believe web cam verifications
3. Block single males (sorry)
4. Instantly block friend requests received with no previous contact
5. Get the ladies to speak on the phone.

first of all, lets be clear, our first post says we think the site is fine as it is. We wouldn't be interested in joining FabPremier. We make fab work for us, in the ways other people have outlined here.
but to answers some of the questions about the idea.
If you are ill or want to take school holidays, then suspend your profile, the suggestion about admin suspending inactive accounts automatically is there for those that don't have the sense to do it themselves. This would reasure FabPremier members that most profiles are active.
We have only 3 verifications showing, it doesn't mean we don't have others we aren't showing.
If you don't want to pay the fee don't pay the fee and stick to what you can afford, no pressure to join. The fee is set high as admin would have to do a lot of checking to admit members.
People will pay as someone has already pointed out they already do on another site.
If you are admitted to FabPremier you don't have to leave Fab, you can cruise both.
This idea wouldn't reduce the number of members of Fab, it just means some have a key to another room, filled with others who have gone the distance on the free site.

I agree!
(Although the single males bit will depend on who you are seeking!)
Use the site wisely and with common sense and timewasters and fakes are pretty easy to avoid.
Common sense and a robust approach to arranging meets are far better tools than anything the site can offer - its a great site (in my opinion after 5+ years of using various sites) - but at the end of the day it's no more than a means of initial contact. The 'leg work' afterwards is what really matters - and that's down to the individual to manage - not the site! |

I'd prefer to use our own common sense than rely on others/rules/technology.
It doesn't take much effort to set filters and/or press 'block'.
We've been on and off this site and others for years. "Verifications" mean nothing.
Personally I'd rather see more emphasis on being able to find more people - not less. |

I'm sure admin do a dam good job to get rid of the fakes. We been on a few weeks and can spot fakes easily. We will block and from now on also report. Come on guys I'd would like to see you guys run a site and be able to keep up with fakes they will also be limited to what search options and everything else that the site don't use all websites are the same I bet they are on the phone all the time to the site programmers finding ways to improve the site |

I agree I think it's a great site. I find the way I word my profile cuts down on alot if idiots. I rarely find time wasters as they don't seem to have time to spend on the things I require.
When I get fed up I hide or delete my profile but I always come back cos it gives me what I want. There are great people on here if you are just patient enough. I have made good genuine friends from here xx |

Nowhere do we say that anyone without a single veri is fake or a timewaster, to progress the idea we were just setting a bar for entry, I am sure if you lose one or two veri's it's not long before you can replace them. |

It's not perfect - no site ever will be!
We all have personal ideas and feelings in potential improvements and there's loads daily in the site feedback forum that admin always respond to (eventually! Lol).
Personally I'd scrap all but meet veri's, make photo verification compulsory (especially for couples and single females - no one ever pretends to be a single guy!!) and improve the search filters a bit - particularly adding the bi option that many have been requesting for months!
But then it's not my site - so I'll continue giving feedback and use the tools and options that aid me in my life on here. That and continue to report fake pics/profiles that I come across.
But the tools honestly do exist to filter out the fantasists, dreamers, timewasters and fakes - if you add common sense, no expectancy and physical/verbal interaction into the equation rather than just relying on online contact!! |

And imagine how disgruntled you'd be if you pay your £20 a month and STILL get let down on a regular basis. Because sometimes shit happens, and you can be branded a timewaster for having a life outside fab that gets in the way.
I meet the criteria for joining this elite, but I wouldn't as I like being able to browse the entire site for the voluntary fee as it is. |

Phone chat social meet then fun ing done and time wasters vanish..okay you get the couple who say they are 45 when turn up 65plus but then best instruments are your legs ..."walk away"... Other sites ask for loads of money and are overrun with single guys posing as couples or bi girls .. they get the pictures of internet and post them as their own..
Think is difficult to be certain with all... it is a hit and miss on all such sites and yes the time problem still isn't solved... grrrr  |

Good for you, if you have £240 a year to throw at an internet site. Some of us have a limited income (NOT welfare before someone shouts) and could not afford it. Verifications likely to start being withheld by "Premier" members to keep themselves elite. Got to have been on site for a year, really, why not 2? Or 4? Or better yet lets ban the peasants altogether!
Like I said earlier, I'm on a pay site already and it is indistinguishable from this one. Timewasters, fakes etc. etc. |

Really you should read the whole thread before you spout off, try to understand the context the suggestion was put in. Don't be so aggressively defensive. If you had read the thread you would have noticed, we wouldn't pay £20 either, we like Fab as it is. The suggestion is just that, a suggestion, an idea.

I don't think the site needs changing that much but I would like to see the meet today feature altered, maybe there should be a traffic light system instead, red for not meeting, amber for looking to meet but not on that day, and red for meeting that day. It might stop unwanted messages |

I just laugh at the timewasters, they amuse me rather than annoy me.
Everyone handles things differently though, the idiots on here wouldn't ever get me to even consider paying money in an effort to avoid them by joining up to some Premier account. Sure as eggs are eggs they'd find some way to access the Premier section anyway!
Have a giggle at the sad timewasters and focus more on the nice genuine and friendly people that are on here... There are loads of them!

I have read the whole thread and ive heard the same complaints about sites in the 5 years ive been swinging,on everysite ive been on,this is a new profile my previous one was 5 yrs old,it was left inactive due to serious illness,and then I chose to delete it,according to the new rules I would have been kicked off by admin anyway oooh and ive only got a couple of veris at the momenr

I don't think the site needs changing that much but I would like to see the meet today feature altered, maybe there should be a traffic light system instead, red for not meeting, amber for looking to meet but not on that day, and red for meeting that day. They are very valid points, but as you have mentioned you have been on here a while, therefore you develope experience in spotting these profiles. It's more difficult for less experienced people so any suggestions on how to improve the site have to be considered |

oh dear, how hard is this to understand, its not a replacement for Fab, people like you who manage a few meets a month will stay as you are, the people who complain fab is full of fakes and timewasters might fancy something different. Fab would still exist for all those on a budget. For FabPremium (again we will say we wouldn't join) the extra hurdles might just reduce the amount of freeloaders, fakes and timewasters for those who want a hassle free experience. Its the difference between Freeview and Sky, both broadcast tv, some people pay for sky because they want something different. New members would appear everyday and people qualify or graduate from Fab. If there isn't enough choice you can always pop back to old fab for a look around. This has all been said already in this thread. Hope its clearer now. |

and just to say, there are already different levels of membership on fab, with fees to pay at different rates for different services, this is just another level. The difference is we are saying lets make it more than just money thats get you up a level, lets make it more based on your engagement with Fab already. Its just an idea for people who think what they get now for their buck isn't good enough. We aren't those people. |

I started to read thread and to be honest got bored half way through. All I can say is I so must be doing something wrong because this site works exactly how I want it to when I am meeting. I have no problems with fakes or timewasters, I am a heartless moody moo because I do not answer every message I get and have no problems with blocking anyone.
I really do wish and this is just my opinion, that those who have a problem would just bugger off to a full paying site as they aparantly don't have any fakes or timewasters and leave us happy users to get on with it. |

Its good another fab user doesn't agree with the OP, and like experienced fabbers knows how to make this site work for them. This thread gives lots of advice to people who are frustrated by fab, lets hope they don't get as bored or as dismissive as you do when reading it. Again the central idea we put forward isn't about about a paying site, but without reading the thread you will have missed that too.

I have said it before and I know I will inevitably say it again but there are very, very simple reasons why some people have such a huge problem with so called fakes and timewasters and others don't. And that reason is nothing that this site, or being on a paying site will ever fix. People need to look at what they are doing and if it's not working change it. Simple as that. |

I have absolutely no problems with fakes and/or timewasters on Fab, and that's because I use the tools Fab gives us (and my own common sense) to filter them out.
Set up (another) pay site if you like, and if you think that you will be able to make money from it - but I (for one)am proud to be a member of this open and inclusive site! |

I think this site is awesome. I out the time wasters without too much trouble and not a lot of loss in time.
I remember not too long ago (before internet) You either went to clubs or picked up a couple of magazines and sent out letters through the mail system to profiles you liked. It took a lot longer to out the fakes than it does now. You also had to rent a Post office box. It is much easier in this day and age... |

I agree with some of the comments up there, but I do the ing myself. Why pay someone do do an okay job wjen I can do it down to a tee myself? I could be a fabpremier person bar the price, not everyone has 20 quid at the end of the month, im lucky if I can afford a wee treat to myself! Block non verified's, newbies, anyone outta my age range and always real folks profiles, verifications and check for pictures. |

Timewasters are more tricky, but generally, but as I don't accommodate, I find it pretty easy. Suggest a club meet or a dogging meet and then when they don't show it doesn't matter a bean, as you have plenty of people there anyway. |
