Sorry team again a follow on from a previous thread.
Ladies needing text buddies. How many have had real problems with meets ?
Has somebody stalked you or followed you or met you and it's turned out to be wrong and dangerous?
Is it a real problem and do we need to name and shame?
Would like to know how big a problem this is.

Don't so much think its a question of real problems more a reassurance knowing someone can tell truth of who ur with etc without judgement. Same as if we're goin on date with someone met in pub would txt a friend. |

Since Ruby has been meeting guys on her own, I have always been there either to make or receive a safety text, and we have now moved on to a safety voice call in front of the guy when they get to the hotel or his place.
Not one guy she has met has objected, in fact the majority have commented how sensible it is.
Personally, and speaking as a guy, I think it doesn't hurt one bit to let the guy know that someone is 'watching over' her... Lol!
As a result, she has only had one or two meets which were 'below par', shall we say, although one guy did desert her in the hotel (he had paid though!). If it makes HER feel safe, then that's good enough for me and it will continue.
Hopefully, she won't acquire a stalker... and if she does, they ain't met me yet..... have they... Lol!

Some women have had 'awkward encounters' and dont feel comfortable telling (vanilla) family or friend what they are doing.
The safety text buddy scheme was only started after another post about bad behaviour. But it is working.
I know most of the people that offered have not been contacted yet; however some have.
Some of my friends have been contacted and I myself made 9 new single female friends (which I am in the process of meeting socially) and I am a text buddy when they need it. In the last month, I've done approx 15 nights of texts.
Name and shame would never work. |
