Holkham beach is closing to naturists on 1st july this year. This is in local norfolk news paper and on look east tonight. If found naked you will be removed from holkham. |

Oh no, this is the first I’ve seen of this, and I go whenever the sun is out and work allows.
Gutted, what more can I say, it’s my place of solace, the place that can bring me back down after a stressed day or week at work.
I’ve been going for 5 years, and there isn’t that much that goes off, or not that I’ve seen, but then again I don’t go looking. It all boils down to 5 or 6 people spoiling it for everyone else, they never speak to me when I’m on my own, (yes I do know who they are officer) but hey, when Mrs goes ya can’t get rid of them. So well done to those few, now where will you go to pester couples that just (mostly) want to be left alone to enjoy the beach, go and give yourselves a big slap in the balls.
Life was a beach, now some bastards have spoilt it.

I've not been for about 3 years (well it's helluva LONG walk innit) but I did go for about 5 years before that a couple times a week in summer! In all that time only twice did I c any 'activity' - but then again I wasn't one for roaming about the dunes. I just stayed where I plonked meself gasping for gas n air!! N prepping meself for the LONG hike back |

I turned up last night at six after work just to grasp the last couple of hours of sun. The police were there, and four naturists in total, 2 who are local. What a waste of public money.
Anyway, locals collecting signatures over the weekend(so I'm told) against the closure. We could do with everyone's (well behaved)support |

near A1 and 14 |
some of the press reporting that the in coming royal family would be upset with this on their door step
The press have such short memories - only last year we saw her topless - and now they are shutting a great beach.
we are gutted as had picked a campsite near next week - to be near to visit |

From what we've heard, the beach was closed because of explicit man on man behaviour, not because people objected to nudity. The problem is that some men feel they have a right to be blatant and outrageous in public; Studland has to be patrolled by police to stop similar things happening.
It's a pity as most naturists just want to swim and sunbathe nude, not have sex in public. |

That awful article that they put in the Sun paper, did more damage than good. That stated that there was a massive gay orgy taking place. What a load of balls!
I was one of the most frequent visitors to that beach, and I've never seen a gay orgy there, I have however made a lot of gay friends (i'm straight by the way) and they have the upmost respect for anybody on that beach.
Why blame the gays for everything. Half a dozen people alone have spoilt that beach, and we all know who they are.
In the years I've been going I've never seen much going off, though in the last week that I went I did see a couple having full blown sex, they were walkers off the beach, are they going to ban walkers next?
I've only been back once since the ban, my heart has gone out of it. I now find my peace at Waxham or Trimmingham a little further round the coast |

.........."
I don't know this place at all and hadn't heard of it until this thread was resurrected but, if comments on other threads of Fab and elsewhere on the net about the behaviour of 'some' gay men at 'some' naturist beaches are true (I have no reason to doubt them), it's hardly surprising action has had to be taken to stop such activities. |

Well I've never seen it, not saying it doesn't happen(I don't go looking)but all the shit that happened at Holkham was down to a few pervy guys that wouldn't leave folks or couples alone. In fact only last week for the first time, I saw one of these guys (clothed) at Sheringham carnival with his grandkids, as though butter wouldn't melt, I wondered if his wife knows? |
