I'm offering to be a safety text buddy,

I'm based in the midlands, but dont mind where you are. I'm also a regular at chams so if other single ladies are looking for a back up at chams, get in touch via pm.

Great idea and as I said in the aforementioned thread, I used a similar system when I was playing as a single female and it worked great. We had a little network of about 4 of us. It's also a good way of offloading when a meet doesn't quite work out as planned (eg the so called bi female of a couple throwing a massive bitch fit when I touched her leg) and having the piss taken! Ms

I think the more the merrier. I actually have 2 safeties. 1 of which is my male cousin, who works with a security company so I know he would get one of the on call drivers to my gps location fairly quick, worst case.

It might also be good if those in the know about mobiles offered to help set up peoples gps, my friend did mine and I know how to find it on my phone and shag nav, but I don't know how to set them up

I think gps is the easiest way of locating someone, even if their mobile is deactivated but I could be wrong??

I think it's a great idea. When I was on here a couple of years ago I had a friend in Ireland who knew when I was going on meets and would text a few times to make sure I was ok. Not much he could do across the Irish ocean but my meets were none the wiser where he was!

iPhone has an app called find friends which comes on the phone as standard do no need to download. If you turn it on you have to grant permission for the other person to see you.

To be honest I think the fact that the whoever you're meeting are aware that you've told someone else where you are and who you're meeting is the most important thing. They don't need to know that the person you're texting might be miles or hours away!

Am not trying to be awkward but unless you are local to the person it not really of use. I maybe missing something so sorry if thats the case.

Does it mean letting buddy where u will be etc and how long would you wait before worrying about buddy because in theory a good session can last hours.

Plus if the person meeting is in distress hopefully not the case has time to text 999 would be my choice.

As i say i maybe misunderstanding the concept and yes everyone male or female needs to be safety conscious.

Ive got a few socials lined up over the next few weeks to chat about this.

As I said Im in the midlands, so if your further away and want a text buddy or are offering to be one, pm your area and I will try and co-ordinate

Also as there are a large number of women, getting in touch, Im thinking may be a coffee meet for single women soon, so again pm if youre interested

I do this for a couple of friends already, ones a married couple whos hubby works nights So as not to disturb him she txts me the address details and then a quick txt when shes back in her car....it makes PERFECT sense re. safety. When we go to "house parties" an its a New couple to us i let a very good friend of mine know where we are heading....i thought this was the norm??? Right now I'm just trying to organise by area, then the plan is kind of to give out profile names of people locally (where people have consented for me to do this).

Then 'elsie' can decide who she wishes to share her number with (and the fact she is on a meet) and I'm happy to pick up texts from anyone, and will 'go between' if people are not comfortable in handing their number out. (I've also got some female friends that have offered to act as go betweens also, so no one has to give me their number)

I do hope that makes some sort of sense, but I'm emailing my way through the above offers and dealing with the in-coming emails

Not read all posts on this thread so if mentioned already but my question/ concern is unless the text buddy is localish bit pointless really i say this because lets say for example something goes wrong at a meet say in london and i am in lancashire there is little with all the will in the world i could do.

If the buddy was localish they may know the area and locate the buddys location.

If i was in trouble as such my first call would be 999.

I dont mean to come across as poo pooing the idea because it makes sense but needs thought as to practicalities.

I don't see it as just a safety issue incase of dire emergencies,in reality no one is going to expect a text buddy on fab to come charging to the rescue when 999 will do

It can be more of a support if required,sometimes its nice to know that you can ask someone to send that pretend theres an emergency at home text so I can leave sooner as its clear we're not compatable

To be fair, most of the pms that came in, came in from this thread, so clearly stated stb.

I got hundreds of pm's and as I knew this thread was running, I checked every single one. Then I contacted most of them to confirm they were happy to be named.

I think the filters, and people leaving the site will cause more issues, but that is out of my hands.

The list is looking good, so hopefully everyone will have a choice of who to contact locally

Well you get a buddie and work out a system, colours or numbers, then you both know.

Say for example;

1 is all's good,

2 is alls ok, but check back in 30 mins please,

3 is not that happy check back in 10 mins please and

4 is oh gosh ring me with an excuse for me to leave.

Not one actual in use safety schemes has been posted for obvious reasons, some people do opposites even so hes not for me actually means good night I'm busy

It's up to the individuals to chose what 'code' they'd like really.

Lol I'd forgotten too. No idea how to work gps on my iPhone lol. Good idea using words,I know girl in work on night out used to txt her mum a certain fruit to say she's ok and staying over at someone's so it's just whatever suits individuals. As long as code is remembered by both and timings are decided. As much as got safety can also be a word means not keen call in 10mins with excuse to leave

Exactly. Also help for newbies to become friends eg straight woman on here generally won't msg women but before meet a woman to woman chat is good whether it's sexual meet advice or just outfit help
