I can’t be the only one coming to terms with a diagnosis. Been 6 months since learning. As always an honest and upfront kinda guy, I’m somewhat struggling. My easy-going nature challenged and the stigma tough over-coming. Reading 23% of the population carry the virus (more than 1 in 5). Aware of specialised dating-sites, which is good to know. Any help, guidance or encouragement appreciated. Life-affirming sex really important. Thanks. |

I’m sorry you are going through this and yes it’s a common virus with a lot of people that don’t know they have it. Sounds like your being sensible and While there is no cure the severity of the virus varies over the course of an infected person's lifetime. In fact, some people with the disease do not experience any symptoms for extended periods or sometimes never. It’s nit something to be ashamed about. |
