Good morning all.... Any advice or suggestions to make ones photos and videos better. It's great if you have a partner to help but what if you don't. How do you make that extra hot professional looking photo taken by yourself......any ideas greatly appreciated... This is not just for me this is for everyone. Please no suggestions of just phographing your dick in the toilets.

You can buy selfie sticks with Bluetooth remotes online. The sticks double up as phone holders.

Tripod and Bluetooth clicker with your phone then use lightroom to adjust lighting and contrast.

It's how we do all our couples profile pics.

I have a Bluetooth tripod but haven't used it yet.

I normally prop the phone against something, take a couple of pics and the crop and edit the lighting.

I've never planned a pic or spent more than 5 minutes on one. They are all spur of the moment.

Thought I'd comment from the couples one.

Set your phone camera to the video settings, then the settings that gives the best possible video quality. Put it on a tripod and set it filming, then move around in front of it.

You'll feel like a total prat, but you'll find that you can take frames out of the video that make you look better than trying to pose for individual pics.

Most of our "action" shots are stills from videos.

Also...thinking about lighting, sets and backgrounds. Most pics are ruined by cluttered or distracting backgrounds.

think about first what type of image am i trying to create what do i want the final picture to say of me, so before you pick up your phone or camera stop and think 🤔 that picture could make or break your profile

I am a professional photographer by trade this is the first thing i do before snapping away also look at the environment your back ground, you dont need a studio but for the love of god tidy up your working area first, family portraits pictures on the wall is not a good thing

Any questions just ask happy to advise

Here is my advice for taking photos

1. Think about the location -take a blank pic -what do you see, is it clean, tidy, non-distracting?

2. Now add lighting. You can control it by partially opening / closing blinds/curtains. Add a small table lamp for warmth -try pointing it in different directions to get a good effect

3. Get a tripod. Set it up with the phone screen facing you. Try lot's of different poses -try to 'catch' the light

4. Hopefully now you are ready...set up the timer, voice activation or Bluetooth clicker. Find your pose, relax and take lots of photos with small variations

5. Now review your pics, choosing your favorites. Use your phone editing tools to crop or straighten the pic or adjust lighting/saturation etc

6. You can use snapseed to add additional things like frames +text

Hope that helps

I mainly use the timer on my camera. I take a ton of pics and hope a couple will be good. I use the editing function on my phone.
