How long do verifications last if you don't use regularly?

They last untill the person that left it leaves the site or chooses not to display it

Once you get verified, those will be showing on your profile until you leave the site/people who verified you leave the site/either block the other or until you choose not to show them. Unless you decide to leave the site, you will still be showing the green "tick" even if the others left the site/blocked you/got blocked by them.

If the person who gave you the verification leaves fab and their account doesn't exist then yes the verification goes

Most using the term "lost" in my experience are single guys who have deleted their account then returned to fab and have to start again (instead of just hiding the profile until they return).
