Why do guys message from miles away...then get annoyed when I say No thank you.

Female frogs imitate death to ward off unwanted attention...maybe that's a good strategy

I'm not sure that imitating death would be enough to stop some guys!

Because they are casting a very wide net, they "don't mind travelling", they are "in the area" for 5 minutes etc etc. and we are on a "sex site", how come we're not going to open our legs for them???

I get men upset by pointing them back to my profile that very clearly states I am not currently looking for anything. The most upset are those who, supposedly (at least according to their message), read my profile.

We always meet for a social initially.

If the guy, or couples, are miles away and are happy to travel for a drink in the pub, we are generally happy to meet.

We've found with most dreamers and fantasists its best to say yes, happy to meet up.

They tend to run a mile.

Especially as they are noted for wanking whilst appearing dead themselves!

Clearly states on my profile that I only meet people who live fairly locally. If anyone messages who is over 60-70 miles away I just don't reply.

There's also the possibility that they're already planning to be in the area and want to meet someone while they're there. I met someone on here who was in Dublin, I asked her to meet a few weeks before I went. Went for a social

The answer would only lie with those who get annoyed

I've chatted with people miles away and continued with, it's not been one sided.

My profile also says I don't want anyone passing through or here just for work so again I don't reply.

I completely understand that but doesn't excuse being rude when I say no thank you

Oh yeah forgot that bit. No excuse for rudeness

And it is that rudeness that caused me to stop replying.

Calderdale innit

I also don't get this op

I recently had a man message me from Exeter, I'm in Yorkshire.

When i pointed out we were over 300 miles away and asked if he traveled up here, he said no...

I get some people travel, if they're gonna be nearby I'd expect them to message well in advance and tell me they'll be visiting.

Otherwise I'd delete too

When I am meeting, I'd never travel too far for a first meet, or want someone else to. I think they'd want more than a social & that's all I offer first meet anyway.

I'm guessing that the only thing some people look at is the profile pic.

If they like it, they message.

The first line of our bio is so clear saying what we want. It's so clear when it's not been read.

Sometimes I'm hundreds of miles from home, or planning to be. Perhaps others are like that and want to strike up a conversation before asking for a meet.........perhaps swinging is only a fantasy for them, so Mike's do not matter

80% of my winks are from over 200 miles away.

WTAF?

I know my profile says I can travel, but no.

And certainly not for 5" next to a Lynx can.
