Just found a set of spy/smart glasses under the tv in the bedroom.
Unfortunately my partner smashed them in a rage.
Has anyone ever had anything like this happen.
I remember seeing them there months and months ago but didn't realise they were not ordinary glasses or belonged to someone else.
Thankfully who ever they belong to forgot to take them but I hope the police are able to retrieve some video |

I'm invested in the story...
Miss Marple to the rescue.
So you've noticed the glasses for awhile.
Your partner smashed them.
Male or female partner?
Before or after you phoned the police?
What made you think they were spy glasses?
What or who could it record?
Devils in the details OP we need more of the tale |

Sounds like he/she destroyed the evidence to me.
Although if they're cheap Chinese ones they'll probably have a removable flash drive rather than built-in memory. |

The only part of the OP that has anything to do with Swinging Support & Advice is "Has anyone ever had anything like this happen."
My guess is no, because none of it makes much sense to be honest. Probably your partner smashed them to stop you finding out it was him or her who put them there in the first place to spy on you, knowing that you would not notice them, as it turned out to be the case. |

This was kind of my point with my original ‘I think we need more details’ post. I don’t know how OP would get any useful support otherwise. They definitely didn’t need to private message me, anyway. |

I assume that the first step you'd take, once found, would be to see what's been recorded.
Obviously they could potentially be networked up, so that footage is streamed to elsewhere, including a different device. But the simplest approach would have the footage stored inside the glasses.
You'd hardly go to the police with the specs, except to report lost property - which you're under no obligation to do - unless you've viewed footage and believe that secret filming has taken place. If it was of the partner, the police would want confirmation that he/she didn't give consent.
Otherwise, OP needs to give us more info |
