Me fabbers. I'm currently in a well paid position but not really enjoying the work. Every day feels like ground hog day. I'm thinking of leaving but not sure what to go at. I'm currently a Project Manager but have a trade and another College Qualification.

So i have options. I'm curious to see what advice fellow fabbers have to offer and share similar experience and outcomes.

Changed jobs and lifestyle about 20 years ago for similar reasons. Do it, life is short and fragile.

I was in a senior position for a large blue chip organisation. I loved my job at the start, then new bosses came in without a clue and damaged the business. They wouldn’t listen to my ideas, so one day I literally walked out. Best decision I ever made. Complete career change which has taken me all over the world.

Personally we don't "enjoy" going to work, but go to work to earn money. We're interested to know how many people enjoy working? Be aware the grass is rarely greener on the other side. People have left our places of work and returned not long after.

If you have viable options and are really not enjoying a job then I see little reason to stay put. Life is too short to do something you don’t enjoy if you could be spending your life doing something better.

If you have a trade maybe it's time to consider self employment.

Get out while you can if you have options go for it you won’t regret it. There’s nothing worse than being stuck in a job you hate.

First work out what lifestyle you (and anyone who depends on you financially) genuinely want, then how much you *really* need to support that. After that you can make your decision.

Sometimes what you're doing outside of work can be what's causing you to feel stuck in a rut. Are you living to work or working to live?
