Measure first to get an approximate idea of size.
Find ranges for tall people (if after basques or similar) and styles with small cup sizes.
Men's lingerie brands exist. But the larger high street stores usually have workable sizes.
It's no different to shopping with a gf. You just wait outside different changing rooms 🤷🏼♀️

Used to go shopping with an ex back in the 90's.
Confidence is key.
Do not be afraid to just pick up what you'd like to try on and do it.
And yes, have an idea of vague sizes beforehand.
TBF, shop assistants range from not caring to being overly helpful.

I'm inclined to agree.
Finding a suspender belt on the high street these days is impossible outside of the occasional M&S.
