We were threatened by someone

We were threatened by someone from this platform, we added them on snapchat as they seemed nice, then they had threatened us, saved a picture we sent and said they would break my (mr) legs and stuff.

I have reported the profile on here and blocked

Is there anything else we should do?

You're in a he said, she said situation. The threat happened off platform so its your word against their's.

You've done all you can beyond reporting it to the police.

If ive learnt anything over the last 30 years of internet use, 99.9999999999% of the time blocking is all you need to do. People who issue threats over the Internet don't have much going on.

Wanna see what I mean...spend any amount of.time.in a COD lobby.

So sorry to hear that and such a shame some people ruin it for others. We’ve got quite a block list as some seem so nice to start with but then off messaging on here they quickly turn unpleasant.

Report to the police. As the threat didn’t happen on this platform then I doubt there’s anything FAB can do.

Feel sorry for you we had a similar issue thay didnt threaten us but we're stalking us on here and on another platform every time we blocked them they just started new profiles and new numbers so in the end we had to involve the police and since then we have not heard a thing and not been back on fab since

Report on here . Block here and on snap . If you genuinely think there is something to the threat then report to the police . They can put a freeze on that persons snap account within 30 days of the report . Everything is retrievable from the snap account and conversation etc

If the communication between both parties was chat, take a snapshot of that chat session and report that to Snapchat as well, keep that Snapchat as proof in case it goes any further

How do you know the threat was made by a male?

This is really sad; so much weirdos everywhere. Like the first commenter said OP, people threatening others online have little going on for them. Blocking is all you need; don't bother about them.

My only worry is them spoiling things for the numerous other genuine ones, and making sour your experience that was suppose to be pleasant. That's very sad. Sorry about that OP.

About the prick; just forget him/them

Screenshot the communication & inform the police.

Snapchat itself would be enough of a red flag for me.

Super women that wants to beat your man up rather than u

It is so silly for stupid people to upset a lovely couple such as yourselves. I am sorry it happened. Please do not be put off by the experience. Plenty of decent people on here will make your lives fun. Just do not let a muppet ruin the day.

" They can put a freeze on that persons snap account within 30 days of the report . Everything is retrievable from the snap account and conversation etc "

I'm afraid this isn't true .... having recently sat through a court case where an adult groomed a child over Snapchat the police could not retrieve the msgs sent.

In short ... unless you have screenshots of the msgs they're gone.

So the moral of the story is - don't use snap chat

The messages and all account information are retrievable . In that particular case it is possible the police did not make the relevant mutual assistance order to Snapchat in the aforementioned time frame . It is also possible in that particular case if the child was under 13 that Snapchat deleted their account as u have to be 13 yrs old to hold an account . Snapchat will delete the account if find out to the contrary .

I guess we will have to agree to disagree... the child was 15 but the police could not retrieve any information

The adult has received 8.5 yrs in prison

It still stands .... dont use snapchat

never take fab stuff away from fab .. as once it leaves fab its no longer a fab issue ...

i screenshot every shitty message or abusive message and keep them in a little folder as many like to open other accounts after so that if ever i need its there ... theres a guy on these forums that years ago sent me some shocking nasty messages whos is well liked today has he changed i doubt it he did delete his old account but thats what they do to hide what nasty assholes they can be ... it takes seconds to screen shot tag it and takes no space with profile details and pics ... plus great for sharing with swinging friends away from fab so others can avoid the assholes online /in clubs

As said most threats are empty and unlikely to be followed through.

I'm assuming their don't have your address? Your phone number?
