I've never been to a club before, but am intending to visit a Remix night in Swindon sometime soon. I'm not going with any expectation that I'm gonna get to play (I mean that would be nice though!). But I'm viewing it as an introduction to the lifestyle, to meet some nice people, and generally socialise with others of the same ilk.
My question is.....what is the etiquette for a complete club novice like myself. Would be bad if I unintentionally upset folk there on my first outing!! |

Don’t get d*unk and make a fool of yourself and just be yourself at the end of the day as not everyone is for you and vice versa.
Be sociable and talk to people but don’t be pushy and as you said don’t go expecting to play but rather to experience the night and watch the dynamics of others and if you do play them it’s an added bonus. |

Cheers. Not getting d*unk won't be hard for me.....gave up alcohol over a year ago and don't miss it at all. Not many of my fellow Scotsmen would agree with me though! |

"??.....I think I know what ya mean?!"
Wanking dead are the guys who stand next to a couple playing and just wank without so much as asking if it’s okay or having taken any time to converse with any one that is playing. |

1. Don’t be a dick
2. Respect peoples space
3. Be a human
4. Go to 1
Like others have said, alcohol and clubs generally don’t mix well. Be sociable, make sure you have condoms and don’t expect anything to happen. |

Basically don't be a twat is what I'm hearing. Makes perfect sense. Anything specific ( apart from not being a complete knobhead that is) that I should be aware of? |

Take flip flops as you really don’t want to feel that squelch between toes and have to mentally guess if what you’ve just stepped on is friendly matter or not…… |
