Hi there you gorgeous ladies … and any men??? .. I hope you can give me some advice xxx
I usually keep my legs lovely and smooth using a Gillette Venus, but thinking about getting them waxed for the first time.
The questions I ask are:
How long should I leave it after shaving before going to get them waxed?
How long does the hair have to be?
How long do they stay smooth for … ie is it longer than shaving ??
I hate stubbly / hairy legs, and looking to avoid them as much as I can.
Thank you xx

You should go ahead, it lasts a few weeks generally. I’ve epilated and waxed so long that I have no hair left apart from a few stragglers, just a couple of patches around my knees that I do roughly once a month, it’s about 5mm long at that point.
You can buy a waxing kit off ebay for less than the cost of a wax appointment. Go for a hard wax as it’s much easier to use. Of course you can get a few appointments to see how it’s done, then you may decide it’s money down the drain and do it yourself. |

I've waxed epilated my legs for years. The rule of thumb seems to be to wait a couple of weeks after shaving. The one thing to remember is that the individual hairs can be at different points on the growth cycle. The result may not be as smooth as you expect initially. In my experience my leg hairs have got finer and more sparse as time has gone on. Exfoliating a day or so before helps too x |

Ive been waxing or using Veet cream for a number of years. Generally I go five to six weeks between treatments. Over time the leg hairs have become finer and sparser. Knees are the toughest area and exfoliation before treatment seems to help. Thick tights or leggings seem to restrict the amount of growth too.
Good luck with your treatment. |
