Why do people send you the first message you reply then they reply. When you go back to reply they have blocked you and not told you.
????
Just find it very rude but funny at the same time had it happened a few times now. We thought this lifestyle was meant to be friendly.

They found their own reply rude, idiotic, inane, or all of the above and decided to block themselves from contacting you.
Don't give it much thought, the conversation would have gone nowhere anyway. |

We did this to a couple yesterday. They winked us. We read their profile, which stated they never send first messages. So we sent a message including a few clear face photos so they could see who they were talking to.
We got a polite reply back, but they didn't send photos back. They asked how we were, so we replied. They opened our message yesterday tea time, but didn't reply...so we've blocked them this morning. Can't be bothered with that crap, plus it saves us wasting our time with them again. Horses for courses. |

So sometimes, one of us reaches out to someone and a few things could happen
* the other sees them and isn't interested for whatever reason
* the person posts or does something that gives one or both of us the ick
* we notice something that makes us suspicious of their authenticity.
It's just awkward so we block them at that point. Doesn't happen often. |

Most novel interaction won't lead to meeting or sex. It takes progressive engagement until people know it will or won't work. It's helpful to have realistic expectations here. Blocking helps all sides, preventing future mistakes and wasted effort. |

If I was already engaged in messaging and one or the the other of us decided it wasn’t going to go any further, I’d usually let them know that I was blocking them to save wasting each other’s time in the future. It’s nothing personal if you’re already brave enough to say there’s no mutual attraction, just prudent. |

Did you ever think that one of the couple read the message and was waiting for their partner to read and reply as a couple ?
Totally understand that you run your profile your own way but surely because someone reads a reply doesn't always call for a reply without giving it some time |

Over 15 hours when they've been online was plenty of time to reply. We took the hint and moved on |

For me (who does the admin), I get that the other couple was online plenty of times in 15 hours, but it depends on what your reply was about. Was it a question that would have required a joint decision in the couple? E.g. looking at the diary, best place to meet, if they liked you etc. Or was an easy one that the admin of the profile could have really responded without consultation in the couple?
Lena and I are married and live together but sometimes we don't have the time in a particular day (24 hours) to talk about swinging stuff. I know also that some of our swinging friends that don't live together need even more time to make decisions, sometimes they take 1 week to respond to us about fixing a date in the calendar.
I am sure that, given the context, you made the right decision with that couple, if something smelled off it was probably off (e.g. they could have replied saying they needed a bit more time to reply properly), but being online often one day and yet not replying does not need to be always an indication that something is wrong. |

Exactly this in our case. We don't live together, Mr works shifts and I work too. Then add in family life. We like to have time to respond to certain messages together and sometimes this means a delay.
