Hi, any tips? I read the profile, and I try and write something based on that, as an introduction. But getting that first message right is so tricky!

Carlisle usually

If they're not interested in your pictures and profile, it doesn't always matter what you've written to them.

Everyone is different, there's no one size fits all approach that'll work.

Good luck

Hi op

Whilst you have read their bio, they'll also be reading yours so both ends needs to grab attention something each other finds appealing and wanting to explore further

To be fair to OP, sometimes your message is deleted without even looking at your profile. Even if the message ticks all the boxes and has the right tone, etc, (or so you think)...

Just try your best, otherwise it'll drive you insane. I'm not saying don't put effort in, but once a message is gone try to forget about it, most don't get any reply, but you're probably competing with dozens of other messages that day alone

Obviously everyone is different, and the fact is as others have said, some people on here will be drowning in messages to the point that it's actually impossible to read and respond to them all.

That said, actually taking the time to read someone's profile before messaging is always better than not doing so - you're doing the right thing there. Also by referring to something in it you show that you've taken a genuine interest and not just fired off a copy paste message to 50 other people.
