I think they do get harder and stiffer due to having the bars in anyway but they definitely get a lot more sensitive! Just be cautious of the healing time which can be upto 12 months if you’re someone that likes them being played with as when they’re sore/uncomfortable they bloody hurt!  |

You just answered my other questions, like healing time and pain, soreness etc.
That all puts me off a bit.
