Deleting message threads- help needed!

Can anyone help? I have a message thread that makes reference to a surprise I have lined up for my Mr. I don’t want him to see it. But every time I delete the thread and the recipients message back- it’s all there again. There does rant seem to be any option to just delete bits of the thread, which I also don’t really want to do. |

"Can't you just ask them to message you another way eg WhatsApp instead of on here when it's regarding the surprise? "
I’m could, but I still need the messages deleting from the thread. |

It's supposed to let you delete per message via the old style message settings by clicking on the right hand side of the message you want to delete |

"I think the only way to delete it totally would be both of you delete the whole thread, you would lose the whole conversation though not just the individual messages. "
