Deleting message threads- help needed!

Can anyone help? I have a message thread that makes reference to a surprise I have lined up for my Mr. I don’t want him to see it. But every time I delete the thread and the recipients message back- it’s all there again. There does rant seem to be any option to just delete bits of the thread, which I also don’t really want to do.

Can't you just ask them to message you another way eg WhatsApp instead of on here when it's regarding the surprise?

Delete the message thread and start a new one. Ask them to reply to the new one.

I want him to have the password. I need him as my research associate.

It's supposed to let you delete per message via the old style message settings by clicking on the right hand side of the message you want to delete

I think the only way to delete it totally would be both of you delete the whole thread, you would lose the whole conversation though not just the individual messages.
