Did you watch How to be Swingers on Channel 5?

"Just tried looking for it but can’t find when was it on ? "
Last night. Should be on catch up as we're planning to watch it this week (although not really sure if it's worth it judging by some of the other posts!) |

Recycled content. Classic Channel 5 minium budget titillation for the masses. Generally pretty naff. Often these things tend not to feel they really represent most of us. This episode just following content creators on the scene. Although to be fair the average swinger probably doesn't want to be on TV and we all do stuff differently. At least it probably painted us all in a better (and sexier) light than that tragic Channel 4 documentary Swingers set in a club.
With it being a fairly positive outlook on the scene I think this mainstream visibility will help normalise the scene in the everyday world. Whether that is a good or a bad thing I guess is another debate? |

The upshot of this program has been an influx of people visiting clubs , that do not fit with the vibe . Locking doors in public rooms such as the orgy and cinema room and complaining if you go in. We think it’s completely changed the scene . |

We, I became a Cuk well over 35 years ago and then we stopped about 10/12 years later and now back on the secen in a more safer, more aware type of thing
Not been to a club etc for many, many years but been on a nudist becah this year and the years before - we noted via what we have seen and read, people are much more open and daring and doing stuff that was rarely done, EG, sex in front of others, getting more meets -
old days it was hit and miss re meet as it was via a papers advert and 50% did not show and it was so disappointing and off putting |

To be honest it was the same old shit, recycled as something different but actually managing to achieve being any different to what we have all seen before!
These programmes are all about the people that want to monetise the scene and less about swinging as a lifestyle. All three of the couples featured were in one way or another doing this. Gage and Olivia seem to just be rent-a-swingers for channel 4 & 5, and are on a number of different TV programmes advertising their pay sites. The weird couple with the doll, firstly they weren’t swingers by any stretch of the imagination and secondly they were just promoting their pay site. And the third couple, were probably the nearest thing to being actual swingers, but even they had a podcast that they were promoting.
All pretty uninspiring stuff really, although it did highlight the lifestyle in a much more positive way than a lot of other similar programmes. |

Was definitely a repeat. And agree - much better than the previous show we did. Unfortunately a lot of what gets filmed gets cut out - which is a shame. The doll was an odd choice - and had we known, we’d have argued against it. But, like a lot of TV, you don’t get to see it before it’s on air.
And in terms of promoting our podcast - there really was very little of that. But, as we’re faces out - it does mean that it’s a little easier for us to do a tv show. It all could have been much worse - but there is still a way to go for good swinger tv. |

the problem with tv - books - blogs and other mediais that most are either fake or come across fake .... heres the thing swinging is what individuals make it themselves ''not'' what others tell them so the people that like these media broadcast get a false reading into what swinging is its all crap ..the only way is to get out and experience it leave all the fakers and story tellers for the dreamers and those who masturbates |

They will always cut it to make it more sensational. You could be having a normal conversation and they could cut it so it looked like you were having an argument!
It's getting better. |
