They might choose not to show the verification on their profile, for whatever reason. But the tick doesn't appear unless they have been verified in any way shape or form, but someone else. |

I take it you mean no "comments shown" rather than verifications.
As has been said above some people like discretion when it comes to who they have met, although it would be a better system if it actualy showed how many times profiles have been verified if you dont show any comments. |

You are correct, when you hide your verifications there is nothing to see, and so there is no way of knowing how many people have verified us, or by what means.
You bring up a very good idea, people dont need to know how many times we are verified,... but it is a good idea that when the verifications are hidden, it adds, something along the lines of ....... Verified Genuine Profile, verified by meeting / phone/ webcam.
In fact, I am off to suggest it in the feedback forum

When a verification comes into you, you have the choice to either except it or reject it at that point,..if you except it onto your profile, you will not be able to remove it.
If you have done this, and have since had an upset with the sended [ for example] then maybe a word in the ear of Admin, they may remove it for you

Oraldelight.....if you go to manage verifications on your account page, you can decide wether to publish them or not.
You must have yours set to publish for them to be on your profile. You can unpublish them for them to be hidden then no one sees them at all.
